I need assitance. I've been playing around creating/decorating houses, but how do I export them so that I can give them to someone else and import the house into their copy of the Sims 2?

Thanks

Hi,

Go to the neighborhood screen and click on the house you want to export. The lot info panel will popup there is a little snowflake custom content button with an arrow on it I think...I can't remember right off hand..click on that and it will give you the option to package it to TheSims2.com or to a file.

I hope this helps and I didn't confuse you.

I tried what you suggested and was able to export it to a file with no problem. The only problem is I don't know where to put the file so that it will work when I run the Sims2 under my wife's account. Is there an option to import that I am mssing ? Or do I need to copy the file to a specific location ?

Thanks again

When you exported hous to a file you will find the lot in mydocuments/eagames/thesims2/packagedlots

When you want to put the lot in your wifes game just double click the packaged file and it will install the house into her game.

You will then find it in the house bin and can place it on a lot from there.

Hope this helps
