the sims have begun to bore me as well! and ive seen this post alot and decided to read it!! and since the patch came out and ive had to reinstall my game 3 times in 2 days! i have nothing to lose, or any families. except 1 family which ive recreated all 3 times JEEZ, so im a little fed up with the game as well as bored so im gladly and exctingly going to go off and do this!! 5x5 lot, 1 sim made in CAS, marry a townie/npc got the basics! no cheats no hacks (will be hard for me but im up for it)

okies started my legacy family its so far a guy named william legacy, and he just got his first promotion in the atletic career and its HARD bc it took soo much hygiene away and he had NO shower. took some pics of his house. poor guy! lol i intially gave him 2 of the cheapest counters, a micorwave, a toaster oven, the cheapeast fridge, cheap toilet, cheap sink, cheapest bed, and the cheapest tv. then i deleted the microwave, and 2 seated couch to buy him the cheap bookcase or a shower, but still couldnt afford the shower so i got him the bookcase, and i did the randomized aspiration thing and got family, and so the bookcase is a good thing since most of his wants atm are surrounded by getting skills. got some pics to share. and a question, can he marry Brandi Broke? kinda hard since she alrdy has 2 and half kids. but she was one of the welcoming comitee and he REALLY likes her! and they both have crushes on each other which was funny bc right as she got the crush and the pink hearts come out of head, he rushes to the sink to sponge bathe so she PANICS lol i was like oh great William you scared her away! lol but then she walks over uses the bathroom and grabs his leftover tv dinner and begins to eat it (keep in mind this a 1 room thing so she used it in front of him and ate while hes nakey bathing at the sink) lmao :rofl:

well that sux bc he is in love with brandi now! and i havent seen any NPC's or townies walk by or anything. hmmm.... perhaps to start a fire. but then it would be a fireMAN and the mail person is a mailMAN. so jeez lol.. too bad that darn papergirl is only a kid lmao!

i had done soo good my guy married Christy Stratton who was at the top of the medical career, and brought 17,000 to the family! which was much needed! i had done 2 house renovations, actually got a stove and seperate rooms WITH WALLS for the bathroom, and 2 bedrooms, and they had 2 girls so far (toddler Danielle, child Chrissy) and William had gotten i think 4 promotions (once he got a couple more friends and enough money to get a workout machine he zoomed thru those lvls), but got stuck at lvl 4 or 5 bc the kids had been born and it was very HECTIC, and he never had time to get skills and with raising the toddler, and pregnant with another Christy was wore out all the time and nearly died and then William caught the newly renovated and nice stove on FIRE! lol. so anyways yah its all gone now! i dunno what happened but i lost all my data from the last time i was here to now! and when i clicked their house again he was only member and didnt even know Christy yet so i got soo mad i deleted him and bulldozed their house and quit the dang game!!!! guess now that im calmed down i could go try again! im thinking ill make a female this time, that way she can marry the mailMAN or fireMAN or one of the many townie guys that walk past the house!

well i made a girl named Kelli, and was ok but then i was trying to figure out the "uber" cheat as ppl called it and figure out the motives and skills and interests and personality thing as alot of ppl were asking at modthesims2 and i finally figured it out. so technically i "cheated" but it was the maxis cheat but still it is cheating but i can just as easily now go in usethe "uber" cheat and take her skills, interests, and personality bak down where they were! yes kithic85 i think my game is starting to HATE me! and it is frustrating me badly but i guess i can cope with it! i havent threw my computer out the window or burned the game to a crispy little pile of ash yet (YET being the keyword) :rofl: so i guess im doing good so far

okies in order to ONLY get townies and NPCs to come over be the welcome wagon walk by and so on i made an entire nieghborhood dedicated to this! and i got the terrain from here and i love the way it worked out, looks cool. so obviously i had to start over and as i said i made the neighborhood dedicated to the legacy challenge which btw it is called The Legacy Challenge! so i named the empty 5x5 lot The Legacy Challenge Begining. and decorated the neighborhood neatly around that lot. got some pics. so shes gotten enough promotions in her career to get the career reward object (science career) so i think that is lvl 5 now. so shes had enough to actually have walls! lol, i never noticed or cared b4 but did anyone notice the freakin walls cost 70 simoleans per 1 square!!!!! JEEZ!! so i only had enough money in the begining for a small bathroom with the walls, the rest was without walls, that way i could put it on a foundation to make future development easier and nicer. so anyways ive been making friends the hard way to get her promotions which for me is a challenge in itself bc i always used SimPE b4 lol! so she has 4 friends, 2 best friends. and only 1 is a guy named Benjamin Long and i was gonna have her marry him but unfortunately he declined and broke her heart all in the same day i screwed up a chance card and got her demoted so she cried for days but it is okies bc she was only on the 2nd lvl and had a full performance bar so she got promoted the next day again bak to lvl 2. and then as for Benjamin hes a big MEANIE in her book now lol, she still cries for that one! i think hes a romance sim... or perhaps it is bc she had no table or stove in order to serve him dinner, and stuff, so he was not happy! lol. but her name is Wanda btw (we were watching the fairly oddparents on nickolodeon. lol, and her first son if she ever gets one is gonna be named Timmy. my question is can i change the npc or townies name once they get married (*tee*hee* wanna change his name to Cosmo) lmao :rofl: gotta make it fun for my girls and lil sis too lol... so i hope i can. as for wanda she only has 18 days left to become an elder and is not married and doesnt have any kids! can we say FAILED, lol. i guess it is still possible she is a knowledge sim so gaining skills is what she wants so she has just enough points to buy the elixir of life! yay but i never used it so kinda afraid on that one. so far ive managed to max her cooking, and cleaning and enough on the others for her promotions. and i have her meditate alot to keep her mood up for work! lol. she only brings the same npc home from wark marisa bennet needless to say that is her BEST friend, i wish shed bring a guy home! jeez lol. just thought id update and from now on i think ill post on kithic85's thing she made, since this one here hasnt been too popular as i had to go to the 2nd page to find it!

well my new one, with wanda in it is going pretty good now, im in the 2nd generation. she finally convinced Benjamin (still would like to know if i can change his first name to Cosmo lol) to marry her, he moved in at the bottom of the athletic career and brought 6000 simoleans. and so they quickly began on having kids as wanda didnt have much time left b4 becoming an elder. so they had a girl first i named her Trixie (the girl timmy likes in the fairly oddparents) and then immediately tried for another successfully getting pregnant again. and then they had another one, i prayed for a boy so i could name him timmy lol, and got one! YAY, so i have 2 kids now Trixie and Timmy. well i seriously am thinking my game hates me bc i sent my girl downtown to buy a few toddler outfits for timmy to wear, and took their family account down to 6 simoleans!!! and so i get home and as soon as benjamin taught timmy how to talk timmy stands up and i hear that noise it makes when a day is added to your life but it was 12am at night and i was like wtf and timmy spontaneously AGED TO A KID!!!! i have no idea wtf happened!!!! he had JUST turned into a toddler! so i dunno wtf happened but after going to buy him toddler clothes they have NO money to buy him a bed! so hell be sleeping on the couch, until mom and dad go bak to work (shes been off taken care of the baby, and he just had the days off. so once they go bak hopefully theyll both get their promotions and they can afford to buy timmy a bed and make a room for the 2 kids. so theres the update.

im not sure what the heck is going on in my game lol, my lil sis said you better save now b4 he grows old and dies lmao!!! i was like no im going to update TSR and see if anyone else ever had a spontaneous aging!! lol, and its pitiful bc they spent all that money on his new toddler clothes and then hes ages as soon as mom steps bak on the lot with the new clothes! lol and he doesnt even have a bed! lol. i think i will rename him to Cosmo (i find that so funny for some reason) has anyone ever seen Benjamin Long in the game??? OMG hes ugly (to me) bc his nose is SO BIG!! my lil sis busted out laughing when i screamed bc Trixie had his nose and she called them both pinochio (or however it is spelled)! it really sad, but thankfully Timmy has his mommys nose! i will take some pics when i go bak in and show them to you guys.

well my family had another baby girl thankfully she has not showed any signs of spontaneous aging lol. benjamin long is very ugly too finally got some pics of him and timmy and trixie on the couch together as you will see trixie is the spitting image of benjamin aka cosmo. lol, and their new daughter i could not think of any other girls names from the fairly oddparents bs vickie (the evil babysitter) or tootie her every so adorable little sister. so their new daughter is named tootie lmao! and once again the girl looks just like benjamin! but thankfully timmy does look like his mom, so i believe he will be carrying on the legacy name as i donot wanna torcher the coming generations with the genetics of benjamin long! lmao! so theres an update oh yah and thankfully benjamin aka cosmo got a job promotion the day after timmys spontaneous aging and timmy now sleeps in a bed! haha!

im very HAPPY with my family! and feel so proud and can admire them and their house knowing i did it all myself and they earned all that themselves!! just got threw updating and remodeling their house again and still had about 1500 simoleans left. their walls now have colors! and carpeting, and enough room to BREATHE! lol they live in a nice (but yet still small and livable) 4 bedroom house. 1 bedroom is the parents room, then 2 other rooms are 1 the boy room, and 2nd the girls room. then the 4th room is the "baby/toddler" room. which it isnt not as big as the others. Cosmo and Wanda arent going to be having anymore kids, 3 is enough for them, gotta get started on the next generation. all their kids are still kids now, but Trixie is almost a teenager, as well as Timmy (since his spontaneous aging). and Tootie just became a kid last sim night, she hasnt even been to school yet. and Cosmo has gotten to the 5th lvl in the atletic career bc i just got his reward object set in the front yard which is GREAT bc now they dont have to workout to the tv anymore, they can punch the punching bag (and kids can use it too so thats good). and Wanda is a theorist (which i think is right below top of the career! and ive managed to use the elixir of life to get her down to 18 days till elder, needs to go down once more so shell be even with Cosmo bc he has 21 days left. at least with that elixir wanda will live to see her kids grow up at least! before that she would be almost an elder now bc when they got married and had Trixie she had about 12 days left. im going to have Timmy carry on the legacy bc as i said b4 i dont want to torcher the future kids of Trixie and Tootie with that NOSE, and those facial features (like long chin >.< lol). so im pretty happy with the way this has gone! and so probaly the only things ill add to their house next (to update it) is better kitchen things as theirs are all old and green! lol, and maybe a pool.... dunno bout that one. i think after cosmo and wanda come home tomorrow and get paid ill buy the kids a swingset. until recently my kids didnt even have toys lol so they played cops and robbers or mary mack when they woke up before school, and tag as soon as they got home! lol which might i add is ADORABLE!!! *tee*hee* so heres the pics of their house and them!! enjoy!

yes i am very tempted to whip out my NLA painting to max aspirations and motives lol, but i havent! and im proud of myself and my lil family i have going!! i LOVE this and yes this is the most fun ive had in awhile too! everyday they come home and im praying and mummbling to myself "please let them get a promotion, please, please!!" lol and they usually do! i have them meditate b4 work when they first wake up and use the bathroom (bc it freezed their motives as is) so there always in good moods, and since both Cosmo and Wanda are knowledge sims their aspirations are always platnium bc they want to earn skills which is fine with me bc everyday after work they study their skills until around midnight, and then go to bed (unless their starving then i feed them). and the kids are going to do very well for themselves bc ive had them since they were toddlers, and have been able to earn them skills fast, and easily! toddlers can (after learning to walk and talk) pretty much with smart milk almost max out charisma, logic, and creativity. then as kids can study cooking, mechanical, cleaning, and body. then by the time i get them to teens they should be good for there teen jobs! im hoping Trixie and Tootie grow into their noses, and facial features... once their both adults im moving them out together. and leaving Timmy in the family home to marry and have kids and carry on the name. this will be interesting for me bc i have never had a sim age to elder and die in my game! bc by the time i get on the 2nd generations and have a couple kids im bored with them, and go on and make a new never going bak to them again. plus i couldnt bare having them get old and die!! so this will get interesting for me once there elders! im having LOTS of fun!

i have been gone all weekend since friday morning!!!! JEEEEZZZZ!!! so i havent been able to get online. but i did pack up my heavy freakin computer, and take it with me, so i could play my sims. i think all weekend i played 2 hrs! so i coulda left my computer home and let my lil sis play the sims!! lol, oopsie! haha, anyways so my family i had i had decided no more kids for them, but decided to have one more when my 2 oldest kids turned into teens. i had seperation anxiety i guess lmao! i dont want them to grow old, and dont want the kids to grow up! lol. the oldest girl Trixie i hoped woulda grew into her nose and face she inherited from her dad (benjamin long) and she didnt. so im assuming the 2nd girl will not either!!! and then their newest baby is a toddler now, a lil boy i named Chester. and he looks exactly like the dad also. so as b4 Timmy will be carrying on the legacy name. when Chester becomes a teen im going to move him, Trixie, and Tootie out together, leaving plenty of room for Timmy's future wife and kids! Wanda and bejamin AKA Cosmo, are almost elders, by the time Chester is a teen they will be old! and actually i think they will be old before hes a teen. how long is the child stage, forgot?? well there my update and since im done cleaning up after my sis and the twins, (never leave a 13yr old, and twin 1 and half yr olds home without you all weekend! because you will come home to the biggest mess EVER!!! they had pepsi cans everywhere, most tipped over with pepsi all over the floor, trash laying everywhere! and my bedroom was trashed as well!! needless to say my environment meter was WAAY down and i was pitching a fit!! lol!! JEEZ!!) anyways, im off to play my game now!

well ive been playing non-stop all night since my last post! havent even been to bed its 4:31am here!!! lol, well unfortunately Benjamin aka Cosmo, and Wanda are elders now they are 55 days old. Trixie grew into an adult so i moved her out taking, Tootie (now a teen) and Chester (now a kid) with her. leaving Timmy home with parents. Timmy aged into an adult 1 sim day ago. and im working on finding him a gf/wife, i remember Benjamin aka Cosmo, did know a couple townie girls when moving in, and had forgotten and not even thought of having Timmy marry one of them until Chica16 mentioned her girls going to marry the guys their mom knew. so that is what ill do since when i took Timmy downtown to buy elder clothes for mom and dad, and in hopes a nice pretty girl would be there for him to meet! and i had a community lot with 6 npc cashiers, (all guys except 1 but there all teens so it doesnt matter), and then there were 6 other ppl on the lot (townies) and all were guys, until finally Sophie Miguel came but shes a teen also >.<!! so yah most townies in my neighborhood are guys it seems!! which is weird bc when first starting out they were all girls, except Benjamin, so there wasnt much of a choice! OH yah, Wanda knows townie girls too, bc the welcoming comitee was 2 girls, and Benjamin (aka Cosmo). anyways. there is my update. and ill try to get some pics taken today (when i go bak in a second lol) and post them, and i keep meaning to get the family worth, so i can post that now. cosmo and wanda both reached top of their careers, and while timmy and trixie were teens they both became overacheivers (so they reached the tops of their teen careers). so ill get the family worth, and some pics and come bak soon. unless i get totally caught up in playing again! lmao :lol: never knew how much i missed my sims over this weekend!

okies im bak, and did get caught up in the game again, so its been 2hrs. lol, still no sleep for me at 6:59am, and my energy bar is starting to run low! lol. anyways, Cosmo and Wanda are now elders, but of course they were that b4, and ive never played elders b4! and they are HARD, they are always tired have to use the bathroom every hour! and for some reason they walk around looking at paintings in the house ALL day long! it is paintings they painted, bc instead of selling all their paintings i kept them. so they go around all day to each room and "view" every painting in the room, then move to the next room! annoying me to death! so anyways now i get them up and have them play the playstation thing all day until one needs to eat or use the bathroom. (YAY the fairly oddparents is coming on i can get the girls names out of it lol) anyways. so Timmy married Marisa Bendett who brought 8000 to the funds and was a field researcher in the science career. and they have 2 kids now, a daughter named Vickie, whos a kid, and then the youngest just became a toddler, and his name is A.J i finally got some pics of them. first is of Marisa, Benjamin aka Cosmo, and Wanda, and vickie when Vickie was a toddler, marisa was pregnant, and 2nd one of them all after A.J became a toddler, and Vickie a kid. and then 3rd pic was them all when A.J was born,and i finally got their family worth lol, forgot it and had to go bak in and get it b4 posting! there family net worth is 113,165 simoleans! makes me soo proud. *tee*hee* well i think im going to go try to get in some sleep b4 the twins get up, lol might as well stay awake, theyll probaly be up in an hour or 2. >.< owell.

i want to make an album thing for my legacy family but i dont know how?? do i have to do it in the game, then export it on the exchange, or can i do it from the exchange?? well i havent played my family since lastnight slept all day... bc i was up all night :lol: , and have the flu!! but im off to play now, and see how far we get today.

well Cosmo and Wanda are gone! they died gracefully, at the ages of 77 (Cosmo) and then the next day at 80 (Wanda) i was always afraid she would die first bc she was older, but nope he did! it was really sad to see them go! but there family worth went up to 238,527 so thats always a plus for the simmies, but for me it was SAD!! Timmy and Marisa's 2 kids are both children now, Vickie has 2 days i believe to becoming a teen. and A.J is at about 4 ot 5 days to being a teen. Timmy has 17 days till elder, and Marisa has 18 days. im not sure who is going to carry on the 4th generation yet. Maybe Vickie since A.J has a very weird nose and face from Marisa. but im not sure yet. i went into the other house where i had moved Cosmo and Wanda's other 3 kids, Trixie, Tootie, and Chester and aged them up to date. actually only one that was aged was Chester. and im going to move whoever i chose not to carry on the legacy in with them. Timmy is at the top of the athletic career like his dad was, and Marisa is almost top of the science career. these are the same careers Cosmo and Wanda had, thought of changing them for the sake of career rewards, but decided not too, i will just chose different ones for future generations. well thats my update. and i got some pics just b4 cosmo and wanda died, and of their other 3 kids after i aged Chester. ill post them, and am gonna go bak to play now.

played some more, and Wanda started haunting the house, and scared poor lil' A.J to death when he had very little energy, thank goodness he didnt have a heartattack and die like some do when health bars are down. Vickie is a teen now, and A.J will be a teen in about 1 and half sim days. Marisa is 1 lvl away from being top of science career. Timmy has been top of athletic career. going to get Vickie a job in the politics career i think. shes a popularity sim thanks to the randomness >.< lol, there soo hard to keep happy, so its a good thing that A.J will be carrying on the Legacy name. hopefully his aspiration will be a bit better! knowing my luck it will probaly be romance. lol, then i will have to have Vickie carry on the name bc A.J will never be happy if and when he marries and has kids. anyways, just thought i'd pop in real quick to update and i think im going to lay down a lil while, still real sick with the flu and feel like i could fal over right now! lol. if only i had a laptop to take to bed with me! *tee*hee* :lol:

i believe they have to remain in the house. just as the kids that carry on the legacy have to remain in the "family" home, and so on down the line. ive kept my first generation elders there they died :cry: and im keeping the 2nd generation elders there. this is after all how you get those nice tombstones for your score at the end of the challenge! *tee*hee* im suposed to be going to sleep. ooops :angel: i guess you all caught me! :lol:

you can marry npc which are the maids, gardeners and those type ppl, and townies, which are like the kids, and ppl that come home with your family members (which donot have houses in the neighborhood) its best if you create your own neighborhood with NOONE in it besides your legacy family in it that way ONLY npcs and townies will come over and walk by and so on. and as far as tombstones you donot have to have the moveObjects on cheat in order to move the tombstones around (like in my game i fenced in an are, with a gate on it, and put the tombstones in there and thus for having a family graveyard. in the end of the challenge you will need these tombstones/urns to get points (depending on if they are gold or not). *tee*hee* look at that still awake!!!! >.< lol, im gonna die if i dont get some sleep, and rest kinda like the sims do when they have the flu and dont rest, one minute their coughing and hacking all over ppl, the next they drop dead in their tracks and ol' grimmy comes along and takes em away!!! lol, that will be me! it is 8:03am here and i havent slept yet!! so this time i am REALLY going to go lay down and look forward to waking up and seeing MORE updates!!!! ive been having SOO much fun not only playing my legacy family, but reading about everyone elses!!!! so KEEP THE STORIES COMING!!! :rah:

lol! i was looking thru the threads and was like OMFG ITS GONE!!!!! and then just happened to look up at the stickys and there we were!! thats awesome! lol! well i got plenty of sleep although i didnt want to leave my simmies! but i slept from the last time i was here until about an hour ago (at 4:50pm) so that was a pretty good "nap" thank goodness for half days at the middle school on wednesday (so my lil sis could come home and watch the girls and give my mom a break actually my mom had to go to work at 12:30 so she put the girls down for naps so my sister got home at 1:15.) but anyways, im loving reading everyones updates! and am off to play my game again!

ive let my sister play her game all night she wanted to start her own legacy family. she made a girl, and she married Goopy who brought 19,000 and was a desk sergent in military career. and they had a baby girl now. then she had to go to bed for school, so i got to play again!! YAY!! my 3rd generation are both teens now, Vickie is about 7 days from being an adult. i was going to have A.J carry on the legacy name, but the suddenly he became a teen and OMFG he has a combination of Benjamin Long's nose aka Cosmo (first generation) and Marisa Bendett's facial features so from the side he is ONE UGLY DUCKLING!! so he will not be carrying on anyone's name! im going to go into Trixie and thems house (the other 3 second generation kids) and then have them move A.J in with them, that way the family sticks together. after wanda scared poor A.J to death as a kid, she hasnt haunted them since, and now Cosmo has started to do it! he is very weird and the first ghost ive had do it, but he jumps into things and when he jumps out the cleaning bubbles come around him and the object is clean (like the toilet, showers). but i wont complain i guess lol! heres some updated photos of Timmy, Marisa and their kids Vickie, and A.J.

as far as genetics go my legacy family is LACKING variation bc my original CAS Wanda was a blonde, with custom hazel eyes, and a custom tattooed light skintone, then she married Benjamin Long (aka Cosmo), who was light skintone, blonde hair, blue eyes. their son Timmy had blonde hair, light skin, and blue eyes (just like Cosmo) and he married the townie Marisa Bendett, who has blonde hair, blue eyes and light skintone. SO all my kids from generation 1 to the generation im on now (generation 3) all have light skin, and are blonde, and for some reason all cosmo and wanda's had cosmo's eyes, and not wandas custom eye color????? and all girls have wandas tattooed light skin, and all boys have cosmos light skin! so my legacy family is lacking variation and its killing me! just to get something different i died Vickies (gen. 3 girl) hair black and made her goth. although it will do no good bc maxis said changing haircolor in the mirror is like dying your hair therefore not affecting genetics what so ever! so all my future kids will still have blonde hair unless vickie marries a townie/npc with a different hair color! there is very little variation in the townies! anyways. im off to play my game now! am anxious to get vickie married, and having babies! dunno who ill marry her to though? might have to go for a npc bc all townies her parents know are girls! thus for doing me no good! >.<

lol, i LOVE this challenge soo much... and im well into my 3rd generation, and i keep seeing all these pics of Wanda (my original sim) when she started out had nothing! and worked her way up, and had 4 kids, and 2 grandkids, and died peacefully and happily!! and im starting to miss that! i think this means perhaps im getting bored... but i am having SOO much fun! but its like my ppl have lots of money now (more than i even give my CAS families) i usually build my CAS families houses, furnish them, and leave them with about 3000-5000 left. and so my legacy family now has more money then my CAS families normally do, and about the same space, and stuff. actually more space bc they have 5 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms now. i usually give my CAS families 3 bedrooms (parents room, boys room and girls room), and 1 bathroom! and ive NEVER played any of them past 2nd generations being teens. and so making it to my almost 4th generation has been a challenge and LOADS of FUN, but im thinking of starting over again! lol...sounds crazy i know but part of the fun,and challenge is having NOTHING, and being at the bottom, and using NO CHEATS to build their ways up! i dunno, could be im very sleepy, sentimental, and vunerable now lol!! maybe it is because i miss Cosmo and Wanda!!! ive never had a sim soo long and grow old, and die on me!! so it has been quite sad, perhaps a lil more elixir would of been a good idea! well anyways there my 2 cents for the morning lol. im off to continue my legacy or perhaps start a new one! who knows?? :huh:

Mandababy...our Legacy Families are Identical. I have Lizzie Legacy and she married Benjamin Long, then they had Benjaman Jr who also grew up to marry Marisa Bendett...lol! Lizzie however had brown hair and custom aqua eyes. Ben Jr Inherited the brown hair and aqua eyes however both his kids with Marisa didnt inheret any of those features so they are all blonde and blue eyed like their mom and grandpa...lol.

that is weird! lol, my kids got nothing from their mom (except her tattooed skin on the girls only not boys ???) i assumed that they would get her hazel eyes! but no all my kids are blonde with blue eyes! im not sure who i will have marisa and Timmy's kids marry! the options are soo limited, and all the guys it seems have the same facial features as Benjamin (Cosmo). and i made that mistake once lol!

well ive been playing awhile, and Timmy and Marisa's son A.J died (but strangely still got a platnium gravestone. he was an adult. i had gone into Timmy's sisters house, and moved A.J in there in order to have him move bak in bringing Trixie's olest child Sarah, and she is a little DOLL i LOVE her soo much, shes so adorable, so the 4th generation atm is waiting on me to decide who takes on the name, Timmys daughter Vickie who is a cutie herself, or Trixies daughter! Trixie had Sarah, and then had twins (phil and lil from rugrats), there adorable too, except they look like Benjamin (Cosmo), with his nose, and facial features, strangely and happily though Trixie's kids are all red heads, with the custom hazel eyes my original CAS (wanda) had, and the skin color up from light, tan i guess, not the medium tone, the one in between that one. anyways!they are all Adorable, and added the variation into the game! and i alrdy know who whichever one i decide to carry on the line will marry. we finally got a male gardener (since Timmy and Marisa are fortune sims both kept wanting flowerbeds so we have 4 flowerbeds now! lol) anyways hired a gardener, and its a guy gardener (which ive never seen before but of course the male maid suprised me too lol). anyways hes CUTE, no big noses, or sunken in face! so he will be the one Vickie or Sarah marries. i have a few pics to share! but only 5 spaces to share them in! i need to figure out how to make the story thing and upload it, so that i can make one and you guys can see my whole family! and the pics and story i have. but anyways theres my update. and heres my 5 limit pics lol (will be hard deciding which to show)!!!

yah i guess through the generations they immproved a bit especially little Sara :wub: but his kids were all just like him (except Timmy) but then timmy's kids all looked like benjamin and marisa together AWFUL!! heres a side view of Timmy and his son (on the right). you can see his humped BIG nose, and sunked in cheeks... he died though... Vickie looks like her daddy, and Sarah does too. so they didnt take on benjamin or marisa's characteristics! thankfully! well in the pic you cant really see his sunk in cheeks bc its from the side and i hid them behind that beard! lol...

oh yah speaking of decendants and over the generations, Trixie's twins from the side look JUST like benjamin as well!! lol, but in those pics i have of them its all from front when they are mostly walking towards me, so you cant see their noses and features so much. lol, but they do look like benjamin, although i have no idea where sara got her good looks! a combination of my original CAS (wanda), and sara's daddy. but i think shes so cute!! :wub:

i just wanted to say did you guys know that ONLY the thumbnails appear in the storymode thing in the game????? i went into that to attempt making my legacy album, and lo and behold i donot have any of the pics from when i first started and of Wanda in the CAS, and i was like WAIT WAIT WAIT i know i took them!!! because i posted them here! and so i came out and looked through my storytelling folder, and only the thumbnails appeared in my storymode option and this SUX SOOO BAD!!! bc i always delete my thumbnails when i remember to so there not taking up space on my harddrive. so i have copies of the snapshots, but not the thumbnails... does anyone know how to make the story anyways using the snapshots? or being able to make new thumbnail size pics of them to put them in my album??? this is very upsetting to me i never knew i would need those!!!! im so mad i feel like screaming bc there gone now, and i cant get em bak and make my story! >.< lol...

ive just spent the last RL hour renovating their house, decided that i had stopped bc i was always afraid of running outa money and therefore getting stuck in the middle of renovating. so i put it off long enough (they had 140,000 and something simoleans) lol but i was always afraid to spend too much money! i renovated their house and they still have well over 100,000 simoleans! well seeing as Marisa and Timmy were fortune sims, they always wanted to buy flowerbeds, so i had bought them 4 flowerbeds and put them randomly in the yard and made them 2x4 big, and in each flowerbed had the 4 different flowers. and then they wanted shrubs, so since i had alrdy bought roses while adding the flowerbed, i had to pick the one things which was okies i decorated the family graveyard nicely with those tall and short hedges. then i wanted them to have a nice little patio area so they could have barbques, and such, and once im in my 4th or 5th generation im going to have a family renuinon since ive never played a family long enough to do so. i also never had a anniversary pty either and when Cosmo and Wanda were elders and alive, they didnt exactly have the room or money to have an anniversary pty. so with Timmy and Marisa (5 and 6 days to elders) im going to have one! so i added the patio/barbque area. and was very pleased i especially like the sitting area i made by rearranging the flower beds, never built anything like that so it was cool, and new to me. btw did you all know you can put the garden lights on the fencing???? i didnt until today, and that is awesome!! anyways. so went into live mode, and marisa and timmy always want a fireplace never had the money or anywhere to put it!! still had no where to put it so i built an attic type room, it is now the "family sitting room" and put some recliners, the fireplace, the bar (which until now had been in the master bedroom), and a piano and bookcase. then i actually added color to their house as its always been the cheap white paint i think called "paste paint". so its now elegant brick! and i finally decided to give them a pool, which i too had been putting off! lol. so after all the renovating im VERY pleased with their house!!! VERY VERY PLEASED!!! and im going to update the kitchen too, and add an island to it (bc i think those are so neat in TS2, complete with barstools). so on my family, well as i said alrdy Timmy has 5 days to being and elder, and Marisa has 6 days, so thats kinda sad, and since now ive moved Trixie's daughter in thankfully she will be a teen in 3 days, and then Timmy and Marisa's oldest and only child now, Vickie has 3 days until she becomes an adult! i have decided to let Sara, Trixie's kid carry on the name bc i just :wub: her! with her tan skin, hazel eyes, and red hair!!! and then im going to have Vickie have an illegitimate child with someone this way i dont break the rules by moving in anyone other than a townie/npc just have a kid with someone different. this is how Sarah got here!! *tee*hee* Sarah is going to marry Leo the gardener, bc hes the MOST ADORABLE townie/npc ive ever seen!! no thin lips, big noses, or weird eyes... hes just CUTE!! so Leo and Sarah will make a couple kids to carry on the legacy! and if all else fails and there beautifulness makes UGLY kids then ill have Vickie and her kids to fall bak on! anyways heres some pics! and im bak to play my family in their new house. forgot to add my net worth now is 232, 364 and they have 21 family friends!

I have been doing the challenge for a week or 2. I am at the 4th generation, but a question has come up....

You can only have 8 sims in a house at one time, so I have been moving people out and they have been starting their own families and branches. So, this leads me to the question? Do only the sims who lived in the main lot at one time or another count towards all the bonuses? I'm a little confused. Don't all the branches count towards the bonuses? For instance, if the daughter of the original sim moves out of the main lot and then has 10 children, doesn't that impossible want fufilled counted? How about if a 4th generation that has never lived on the main lot marries a NPC? Does that count?

i wasnt too sure about this either, which is why on my 3rd generation kid (who ive chosen to carry on the legacy) lived on another lot which is the lot im moving all "extra" family to. so her mom did not marry her dad, just had her by him, and he didnot move in with her either they just whooed and had her, and then another time did the same and had twins. so anyways, i wasnt sure about this whole thing and i assumed they had to be on the family lot, so i went into the family lot and moved little sara into it, and she is almost a teen now. so im not sure, but i *think* that all bonuses only count on the original family 5x5 lot! :huh:

my original CAS, and townie had 4 kids (2 boys, 2 girls), and i thought why have soo many (since none of my sims carry on the legacy want 10 kids (no family sims) then theres no need for soo many kids! 2 kids is sufficient, 1 to carry on, and 1 in case #1 dies or something! so the 2nd generation (timmy) married Marisa, and they had 2 kids (boy and girl) and i had moved the other 3 siblings of his out into a house which is where the "extra" family will go and i will go in and age them accordingly over time, and so i wnet in to to do that and timmys sister had her 3 kids. which is bak up in case timmys kids both die! but i decided to have Trixie's daughter carry on anyways, so i had to move her bak into the family house! and im just going to do that from now on. only have 2 kids. then move out whoever from the family house leaving the elders, and whatever one is carrying on the legacy. but in the "extra" house pertaining to all the rules in case i need one of them to carry on the name if something happens to everyone else! if i ever get a family though that wants 10 kids, and i think i can fulfill it okies i will for those bonus points otherwise i wont bother with soo many kids!

i play all day and night it seems, basically if my computer is not on the internet the sims 2 is running. im not always on it, but it is running so i can take breaks to fix dinner, or something. im 19 also, but i have 1 and half year twin girls, so there pretty content with themselves, and play with their toys, and watch cartoons all day! so im lucky there i guess. but i play all the time! not much else to do besides sit around and watch my girls do nothing, and us all be bored. even before the sims 2 came out thats all we did. im still sick with the flu so ive been sleepin most of the day, and im thinking even with the limited hugging and "snuggling" ive done with my girls to avoid them getting it they are anyway, and my lil sister comes home today saying all the kids at her school are getting strep throat and her throat has been hurting alot too, so theres another thing to avoid them and me getting!!! jeez!!! so i havent played much today.. but when im not sick its my life!

i played my family for a few minutes lastnight, and have been up since about 1:30am here so about an hour. so i guess since i wont be getting any sleep for awhile (either me or my lil sister got my girls sick) always GREAT fun dealing with 2 sick babies, on top of me and my sister both being sick now! lol so im thinking i will have a few of these all nighters ahead and am looking forward to playing my simmies lol! when i played lastnight Timmy had 4 days to being an elder, Marisa 5 days, then their oldest Vickie will be an adult the day before Timmy turns into an elder so that worked out nicely and then lil Sara (timmy's niece) will become a teen the same day as Vickie! so im going to have a combined 3 person birthday party, and grow them all up at once. then Marisa will be old the next day, and ill be working on my 4th generation!!! im excited to get them all grown up and find vickie a boyfriend. too bad little sarah is only going to be a teen! i think ill have her drink some elixir while in red and take days off her life so she can hurry and marry the gardener!

well i had my 3 person bday party! and invited all the family and the gardener! well it was weird that Timmy was turning into an elder because his siblings came to the party!! and Trixie is the oldest so TECHNICALLY she shoulda grown old first and his other 2 siblings were still teens! it was hilarious! so after the party and dressing and fixing them like i wanted them, i went into Trixie and thems house, and aged everyone accordingly, Trixie is an elder now also, Tootie and Chester are adults, and then Sara's twin siblings, were toddlers, so i aged them to kids! now my family is all caught up with one another! i was thinking at the bday pty it was like all their family was there and it was kinda like a "family reunion" and then realised i had forgotten to invite Sara's dad, and his wife, and her other little sister, but since Sara and the twins were a secret from his wife and baby girl i wouldnt of invited them only him! so when i have marisa's bday pty in 2 sim days, ill invite them all bak including him! and i sucessfully aged Sara to be about 3 sim days left till being an adult by drinking elixir in a not so good mood! so i have those days to catch her aspiration bak up to platnium! she btw is a popularity sim just like Vickie was, and man i was like JEEZ ill pick something else whos gonna know! lol, but contained myself so she is a popularity sim! heres my 5 pic limit >.< lol, i may have to post again with more, not sure exactly how many i took at the pty and stuff!

well this is weird i kinda liked having one big thread to read everyones stories, now theres abunch of different ones and i want to keep up to date on everyones!! but its all over now!! i think i will just quit updating and stuff, and play my game all by my lonesome its just no fun now without all you guys to read, my updates and comment and then for me to read your guys updates and stuff and comment on them, all in one thread instead of going to all the different ones, and taking soo much more time!!! i think i will cry!! :cry:

well heres my update anyways i guess... well Timmy and Marisa are both elders now, and Sara grew into an adult, when she gets home from work today im going to call over the gardener guy and get them married! and then im going to have to pick out someone to marry Vickie or have her "illegitimate" children with as i dont think i will be marrying her. Sara is still very pretty! ive never had a sim be so pretty! at least not BORN that way! who woulda known one ugly sim, and a nice looking sim could have such a Beautiful daugher! heres some pics of Sara, and her dad. well i cant find any of the adult Sara so i will go bak and play, until she and Leo the gardener are married, and post some pics of her at their wedding since im going to have a formal wedding, instead of eloping! since they have money now to do that!

well Sara and Leo the gardener are married now, i set up a wedding area in the backyard for all future generations to use as well. its pretty cute i think! Sara is also pregnant after getting married they left the reception a lil early to get started on generation 4 pretty quickly!!! :D Leo is pretty cute once you get him outa that awful gardener outfit, and change his hair!! he has brown hair, and sara has red hair so im hoping i get a mixture of the 2 colors in their kids. Sara has custom hazel eyes, and Leo has green so no reall suprises with that, and then Leo is light skinned, and Sara is tan. Marisa reached the top of the law enforcement career, and after the next the days of work are up, and she gets 4 days off im going to have her retire. i did this with Timmy as well, once his last days of work were through i had him retire on his first day off, and hes now a writer (hes been writing lots of novels even before being an elder), so this is what he'll do full time now, and Marisa has been painting alot too, so once she retires painting will become her full time thing! they are looking very forward to spending there golden years together, and taking care of their grandchildren! actually Sara is Timmy's sister kid, so technically her and Leo's kids will not be timmy and marisas grandkids... but Timmy and Marisa did raise her, so the sentimental feeling will be there for them as if they were there own grandchildren.. Sara's dad still hasnt told his wife about his secret love affair and 3 other kids on the side, so sadly he will not be a big part in his grandchildrens lives. his other daughter with his wife overheard him talking with his mistress on the phone though about Sara's bday pty, so he has convinced her not to tell his secret to her mother! (still keeping it interesting :lol: )
although her teen years are coming up, and hed better not be too hard on her or she will tell on him in a second, as she alrdy feels its a terrible thing to keep Sara, and the twins from her mom!! anyways!! theres my update, and heres some pics!!

Yeah, that wedding area looks great and looks like it can accomodate lots of guests, but then.. a legacy family is bound to have lots of relatives, especially after a few generations. My poor sims haven't had any proper weddings yet.. I keep spending the money they earn on other stuff :P I've noticed how the npcs tad to be a bit better looking than the townies... too bad I already had Remington the pizza guy move in with my first legacy attempt, so he's now off-limits as he's no longer an npc or a townie (just a poor single dude living in a shack) and I seem to get more female npcs than male npcs.

all of these posts up to post #39 i believe were from the original legacy family thread that was a sticky in the general disscussion forum. so some of the things said without everyone elses posts from there probaly donot make since lol!!! so keep that in mind when reading them!! and now for an update. Sara and Leo the gardener had a baby girl i named her Veronica (from trixie tangs best friend in fairly oddparents which is the theme for my names in case ppl cant tell). so anyways, she is a toddler now, and very cute! she has gotten the original townie (benjamin long) Cosmo's cheeks, but not as bad as the first 3 generation had them! she has Leo's brown hair, and Sara's custom hazel eyes which came from my original CAS! and is the light skintone like Leo is. so im into my 4th generation now!! Timmy and Wanda are doing good enjoying their golden years, wanda has 3 days left at the top of her law enforcement career before i retire her! leo is in the military career, and sara in the medicine. well im off to play my family since ive been in bed most of the day, seems my flu has taken a turn for the worse, and ive started getting dizzy after being up for long periods of time!! so sadly i probaly cannot play my sims as much as i would like!! im so addicted and will miss them soo much im tempted to take the computer closer to my bed and play in bed lol!!!

Sara and Leo had another baby a boy i named him Chad. hes a toddler now, and Veronica is a child. i went into another house of mine and invited over all the ugly townies, and npcs and killed them off :devil: in hopes the game will reproduce newer cuter ones! i saw one of the new maids, and she looked cute. i killed off the other 2 gardeners and it hasnt been gardening day yet for me to see the new gardeners! and i havent seen any of the new townies. i killed off about 13 npc/townies! lol! 3 of them were the maids, 2 were gardeners, 3 pizza ppl, and the other 5 were townies. 1 was a new townie the game created after my lil sis had to start over, and married brandon lilliard! and the new townie was UGLY his face was out of proportion, big, flat nose, big puffy cheeks, and the rest was kinda sunken in!!! i about died when i seen him lmao!!! anyways! my house now has 7 ppl in it! because Timmy and Marisa are still alive, and i didnt move Vickie out, bc i like her! and even though she isnt carrying on the legacy i couldnt bare to move her out! lol! her and sara are BEST FRIENDS, they sit in the garden sitting area alot and gossip lol!! i guess i could do that if she wasnt there too, just invite her over and stuff but its not the same.. anyways! theres my update!

I agree that he is one of the more attractive servicepeople and had him staked out from the beginning after seeing him in a different, non-Legacy neighborhood. yes Leo cleans up real well! i was afraid he would come to their wedding in that gardener hat!! lol, but he didnt just had a elvis tyoe hairdo! lol!! their kids are really cute! the little girl needs to get a new hairstyle, and clothes, i think figuring out which one will carry on the legacy will be the hardest! the first generation started with a girl (wanda), then 2nd generation carried on by their oldest son (Timmy), and then now 3rd generation carried on by Sara, so i may make it easier on myself and go boy girl, like that, unless there is 2 of the same gender, then the cutest, if both are cute then the oldest i guess! it was kinda hard to decide who would carry on generation 3, bc i :wub: vickie, and sara! so i chose sara, and im thinking of letting vickie having some kids, and perhaps marry a nice townie. dunno? goodluck to you, and your future Leo children lol!!!

well Marisa died at 77! i think i have come to learn that all townies die at 77! because my original townie banjamin long aka cosmo died alos at 77! but anyways. it was and still is quite sad, everyone stops everything to cry constantly!! but they profited quite abit from her, i looked at family account just before the insurance money and they had 59,100. and then once the insurance money came in they had about 95,000!! so that was pretty cool! timmy still has a few days left, his meter is about at the end but not quite. i done some redecorating (since new recolored objects have came out). finally saw the new generated gardener after i killed the remaining ones! its another guy and once again his a cutie, and the newly generated maid is cute too. her name is kendal and the new gardener is remington wtf is it with the game and ppl named remington??? anyways heres some pics.

you know i heard that too before my legacy family about death and making paintings worth more, well since when they started they didnt have much money for decorations, all paintings my original CAS, and townie made i kept and have kept all paintings all my ppl have done (unless we have 1 in EVERY room alrdy lol) anyways, and after they died i picked up one of those paintings just to see how much it was worth, before they died when they first painted (it was wanda's first painting i kept)it was worth about 300 and something and after she died and picked it up it was worth about 1500!! that was awesome but i kept it, and have kept everyones paintings! there starting to paint same ones over again, i guess i should have them paint still life or ppl now, as im tired of the same ones! lol. well heres an update! Sara's daddy still has not told his wife about Sara and her twin brother and sister, and him and his wife had their new baby, a boy, who is a child now, named Tommy, and his other daughter with his wife is now a teen. Stu makes adorable children!! Sara is one of the cutest ever in game born kids ive had!! and then once angelica grew up, she looks alot like Sara, except more of brandi leaturno bc that is sara's dads wife. and then little tommy was born, and hes adorable as well!! although from Stus red hair and brandis brown hair he has black hair??? but hes still cute nonetheless! and i went into timmys siblings house (where saras mom, and twin brother and sister are) and aged them all accordingly to my main house, so trixie the oldest kid is almost dead, (like timmy is) and his younger sister is an elder now, and chester is still an adult, and saras twin brother and sister are teens now. so this is mainly an update on the rest of the family, not the main one lol! heres some pics!

you know im sad to say it but, i have grown very bored with the sims 2, including my legacy family! i dunno what it is, perhaps the fact ive been sick for almost 2 weeks straight, getting worse everyday, and my girls are sick, heck my WHOLE family is sick! and so i dunno what it is i have no desire to play anymore! i go into my game, and i look at my house and my sims, and just exit right then, i just dont feel like playing, and i HATE that because i LOVE the sims game, and this challenge has kept me playing this much longer, and i LOVE this and i want to play i just cant do it, as soon as i get in there to play i just dont feel like playing! so anyways i guess i dunno what im saying! i just thought i would share this! goodluck to everyone and have fun!!!!

Maybe all you need is a break for a while. Give yourself time to miss it. I did that with the original Sims. Played it non-stop, then started to really dislike it, took a long break and then became totally obsessed with it all over again.

lol i guess that is what i will do, time to recoperate, and get through christmas, then maybe ill miss it sooo much by then ill be back to finish my legacy family!! i have been playing the sims 2 pratically NON-STOP since it came out, although i used to have kids, and a bf and final fantasy XI before all this lol!!! i think 2 out of 3 is still there! :rofl: when i had final fantasy XI before i played it for awhile each day to let my lil sister play, now i dont have it anymore. so im just bored!

well i went in my game mainly to see my recolors and redecorate my legacy house, which btw it looks great, and is fixin to look even better (got a new bed) lol, so anyways, i ended up playing for about 2 sim days, and Timmy died, he was 76. so when i do go bak in to play i will have to go in his sisters house and let her and his younger sister die as well and age them all accordingly to everyone else. heres pics of timmys passing.

Hey Manda :)

Once you get into redecorating your sims' houses with all the new recoloured objects you'll probably get back into the game. If you're sick and your girls are sick too you're bound to be tired taking care of them when you aren't feeling too great yourself, it must be really exhausting. Once you feel better and your girls are better you should feel more like playing again. You probably just need to have a break and take it easy for a few days.

*tee*hee* thank you as well! it is not easy, i think i will be sicker the longest bc im not getting much rest, having to take care of my girls needs first, and then my lil sister as well, then comes me, so by the time im done with the twins, and my lil sister another twin is crying, which makes the other cry and it starts again. but its okies i have no problems doing it. i just gotta stay away from them once they are better, that way its isnt passed bak around again, like it did once alrdy!! :Oo:

When having your sims paint, instead of having them just paint or paint portrait, I have them paint still-life and have gotten 3 paintings of my sims themselves. I have one of Komei reading and one of Komei and wife Natasha cuddling on the couch and I've gotten Marissa to paint a really close-up of herself, I put these up instead - they serve as a sort of album to the generations to come. It makes for variety of paintings too. I specially like the close-ups of everyone - they're the coolest ;)

Saras oldest kid (Veronica) is now a teen, and as luck would have it the aspiration thing at random was ROMANCE, jeez i hate them MOST right before popularity! so anyways its okies bc the boy was going to carry on the legacy anyways! and i moved timmys siblings in as they were getting close to dying, so they could die on the family lot. so his oldest sister who shoulda been gone b4 him, moved in first and died. then it was his youngest sister, and i brought the brother with her too, and he died um not from old age :devil: . but Timmys younger sister died from old age like timmy and trixie did. and my simmies had gotten quite low on money since all my custom content clothes ive been downloading and recolors. since furtinure depreciates in time, i go in redecorate, and then play awhile, and come bak online to see if new recolors are out i like most like yes there are so i go bak in and redecorate lol!! so anyways they were down to about 5,000. and so upon the deaths of the siblings, they got bak up there in like the 70,000s somewhere! so anyways, i guess im bak to playing but im not playing as often as i would have, bc its getting closer to xmas, and were all still very sick, im thinking by monday morning if my girls havent gotten even a little better then their going to the hospital, im just hoping it hasnt progressed into pneumonia, bc i know ive been wheezing and them too.. but anyways! heres some pics.

well both Sara's kids are teens now. almost rdy to go into my 5th generation as soon as Chad turns into an adult. i am soo anxious to have more babies!! not for the generation but bc i discovered a new skins site that only makes clothes for kids and toddlers and i downloaded 115 files from them and even donated 10 dollars to get the donation sets and they are all sooo ADORABLE so i want millions of toddlers to dress in them, i hope they have twins!!anyways. just thought i would update that much, and as soon as chad is an adult i will post who he marries.. still not sure about that one.. thinking christy stratton??? :huh:
