Here's the official tutorial on how to use the program in regards of making objects. :)

http://wiki.thesimsresource.com/index.php?title=Walkthrough:_Objects

What is not explained is the use of third party programs such as 2D and 3D applications.

First of all Murano, thanks for all your great tutorials and wiki pages - they've been a great help already :)
I'm stuck though on the plugins for Milkshape - I found them, copied and pasted them in Milkshape (I do have the latest version), but I still don't seem to be able to find a way to export my mesh into a .wso or .simgeom file, like it's asked in the TSR workshop import :( There are ways to export for Sims and Sims2, but I didn't see Sims3 (as they promised with their beta version - Milkshape I mean)

What am I overlooking? Or is there another way to get to the .wso file? Convert .obj with another program or such?

Thanks on beforehand :)

Hadewych - you should copy the 2 plugins from Program Files \The Sims Resource\TSR Workshop\Extras\Milkshape Plugins to Program Files \MilkShape 3D 1.8.4. Then restart Milkshape, the option should be availible in the import/export menu for TSRW Object.

Just an FYI Milkshape 1.8.5 is recommended.

Thank you Cazarupt, that's what I did, but maybe the latest version of TSR Workshop has changed, as they don't import .obj any more, but only .wso and .singeom - or well, those are the only file extensions coming up when trying to import a file *shrug*
I do have the latest Milkshape 1.8.5 indeed Riccinumbers, albeit the betaversion - didn't see a non-beta on the site? I'll try to add the plugins to 1.8.4 too (I did download both versions :D) and see what that gives.

Otherwise I'll come back and bug you a bit more ;)

ooh - something totally different - how do you put those diamond thingies underneath your avatar? I think I almost have a full triple set too :D

Me again! Cazarupt, thanks! I didn't know the TSRW object = .wso file :D
I'm using the 1.8.5 version of Milkshape though, just to be on the safe side ;)

I've been messing around with the long skirt to make it a maxi, following the excellent tutorial of sww 'Creating a New Clothing Mesh with the TSR Workshop' (um, until I've figured out how and which links I'm allowed to make, I'll just do it this way :P - haha) and it looks like it's working - woohooh!
