What I like to see more of is what I call, "clutter stuff."  The kind of stuff that show someone lives in this lot.  Stuff like kitchen counter objects showing that someone has been cooking, or articles of clothing that can be placed on the floor, piles of game cases, books, cds, and magazines.  I think you get the idea.  I also like a variety of outfits to reflect different styles.  In general, I like CC that allows for true customization and variety.

I have been playing around with the Sims 4 CAS demo and I already know I want more hairstyles (would love to have styles from Cazy, Nightcrawler, Alesso, Skysims converted) and more clothes and makeup. What they have is not enough! I definitely would also want some furniture sets from my favs such as Simcredible, Jomsims, Wondymoon, Flovv, Angela, etc because their creations are just wayyy better than anything EA/Maxis can come up with and I know it would make my Sims 4 experience AWESOME!!!

I would love to see more male clothing that doesn't look weird or ghettoish. Long hair for the male Sims. There is a high lack in both areas! I guess what I'm wanting is just for Sim dudes to have a greater variety like our female dollies do! B)
P.S. More nice clothing for the female, and less tacky ones. More wedding rings, they are SO hard to find. (Good ones) ;)

Don't know if anyone else is using steam with their Windows 7 64bit, but if you are like I am, and had this error pop up you need to go to the following folder address:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\the sims 3

#2315672 Things I Would Like To See In Sims 4 !

Posted by sim_man123 on 14 November 2013 - 09:08 PM

My own personal taste but the walls and floors and even some of the objects are ugly/tacky.....I would just like to see them be more in line with what fans create.

I agree, EA does make some absolutely horrendous stuff... but, for the sake of doing what we creators do, I hope they continue to make ugly things. In my opinion, if they want to make ugly, non-matching and re-used stuff, let them! The less energy they put into make pretty things, the more time and energy they can put into making a decent game. As long as they provide a solid foundation, we creators can come along afterwards and clean up the ugly :D

1- I would like to see in Sims 4 more realistic things .. i.e. maybe include a bank where sims could get loans to buy houses or cars , to pay bills or something .. and pay off the loans by clicking on the bank lol .. i haven't given it much thought but i would like that idea and if sims fail to pay off the loan the bank could repossess items in the household /:

2- I really wanted the sims to be able to iron clothes since we already have the laundry and all that .. it would be a nice addition to add that & maybe have moodlets included.

I would love more classy/modest clothing for my Sims (cover torso, have sleeves, and go down to the knees). So, like Linda said: more nice clothing & less scanty ones. I agree that I'd like more wedding rings. Also, I'd like more variety in wedding dresses and wedding hairstyles; I felt like I couldn't always find "the right dress" for my Sims, and it seemed like they all looked exactly the same on their wedding days!

I also really like hairstyles and makeup options that help my Sim look more realistic; it will be nice to help the Sims 4 look even more realistic!

And I like clothing that help reflect different personalities as well.

I'd also like to see more clothing for all ages of Sims, and clothes that are easier to tell are Maternity clothing so that I can plan their outfits better (I forget which clothes are and aren't maternity sometimes).

#2195425 Before requesting...Read Here

Posted by frisbud on 07 June 2009 - 11:59 PM

If you are posting a request, please take the time to read through this before you submit your request thread. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow in order to help you get your request made...

1) Please attach at least one good picture, preferably more than one, showing exactly what you want. Or even worse are ones that say "I need this made. Contact me by email for details". Nobody is going to volunteer to do something sight unseen. You are much more likely to get a response if you show us what you want in a picture attached to your post.

2) Please describe your request well. These are creators, not mind readers, so they are counting on you to tell them exactly what you want. And I mean exactly. ;)

3) Please be patient. This is a forum, not a chat room, and most people may not even visit this forum every day. The creators who visit here do have real lives, families, jobs, etc outside of this site, so please take that into consideration. I know you are excited to have a request filled, but please do not pester the artists about when it will be done. Once you make the request, you are a slave to their schedule, they are not a slave to yours. :P

4) Please do not unnecessarily bump your thread to get attention or post more than one thread for your request. If a few days pass and no one has responded to you, then you may bump your thread once. But no bumping within the first 48 hours please. Give people some time to pop into the forums and see what has been posted.

5) If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your request, please be tactful in your response. Be polite. Let the creator know what is not right and suggest how it could be improved. Please no "This sucks. I hate it." responses. If you want someone else to try your request, simply thank the artist who made the attempt and politely ask if another person would be willing to give it a try.

Now that you have read through these guidelines, it's time to post your request thread. Good luck and Good Simming! :)

#2322759 So, are you happy with the game so far ?

Posted by veronica55 on 04 September 2014 - 12:04 AM

I am not.
1- I don't like the controls & menus. Especially while building. I hate searching for button all over my screen such as, I choose items from the bottom, I undo actions from the top, and I need to switch live & build mode and do some other things from the top right corner. It's all confusing, annoying. I miss all the controls being at the bottom of my game.
2- Edge scrolling doesn't work well.
3- I hate all those loading screens, it reminds me TS2. I deeply miss the open neighbourhoods. I hate when I travel to somewhere I can no longer control the sims that are still at home.
My overall reaction is like "what the heck they did to my favourite game?" I mean when you name it the sims4, to me, it means "upgraded, improved, better, fancier" than the previous versions. But let alone improving anything, (besides build mode functions) they downgraded the whole game. The scenery, sky, outdoors visual quality is awful. And I can't believe that we are in 2014 and still getting those diagonal corners on circular objects in the sims.
No toddlers, no swimming pools (but fountains), no dishwashers, no create a style, no open neighbourhoods... it feels like they literally killed this game.
One thing I love in this game : Building roofs, the general build mode features. For the rest, everything makes me miss my TS3.

More shoes (not the ugly ones appearing in the CAS).  Modern pretty furniture.  Modern in-style clothing.  While I love the sims (all editions) the items that come with the game is ugly.

Hi everyone!

We and our Artsits here at TSR would like to poke everyone's brain a bit and get a better understanding for what type of Custom Content (CC) you want to see in Sims 4. Please answer our poll and let us know in this thread what type of CC you use the most today in Sims 2 & 3, if you have any favorite creations here on TSR you'd love to see converted, any specific themes you would like to see more of etc. All ideas are welcome!

Please note that this is not a request thread, there is no guarantee that your ideas will be done for Sims 4 by our Artists.

#2330739 Installation of CC / Can't Find CC

Posted by Degera on 22 April 2015 - 03:09 PM

If the download is in package format, meaning it is clothing, hair, makeup, objects, etc. Do not try to open the package files, simply place the package files into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder. The game can not be running when you do this. (If it's a set, it might be in a zip file and you will need to right click to open the zip file first.)

If the download is a house or a sim, unzip the file (right click and choose Open on the zip file) and place all of those files (between 5 and 9 files) into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray folder. The game can be running when you do this.

Now, to find your downloads - for Lots and Sims, open the Gallery and go to the My Library section. If they do not appear, then look at the menu on the left, find the button that says Advanced and click it. Place a check mark into the box for the option to show custom content. Now all of your lots and sims should be visible. (You have to do this every time as the advanced settings won't save!)

For clothing, makeup, hair, etc - Open CAS. If the recolor is not a standalone item, then you will need to find the original and look through every single color swatch until you find the recolor. This can be incredibly tedious and it is a shame that EA didn't try to sort these things better. Some items are specifically for a certain clothing set, such as Formalwear, and unless you sort CAS to show only Formal items, you won't see it.

For objects, walls and floors, you'll find them in build/buy mode when you are creating or editing a house. Updated games will show a wrench icon on items that are custom.

If you can't find something - make sure your game is fully patched (You may need to turn off Origin and turn it back on again to force an update). Also, check the notes on the download to make sure that it doesn't require a separate mesh that you need to get from somewhere else, or that it wasn't based on an object for an expansion you don't have, such as Outdoor Retreat or Get To Work.

If you've done all of the above, try downloading the item again. It's possible that the download didn't finish properly for whatever reason, especially if you were downloading multiple files at once.
