Heya all.. just thought I'd start this thread here for people who have the game to point out funny, quirky things their new sims have done. Mine have made me laugh out loud a number of times already.
For example:
I made an adult sim who's a scorpio - she's very playful, but not too nice. On a community lot I first noticed the option "play" on a sofa there, I click it and she goes right over and starts bouncing like mad and doing goofy flips while flailing her arms around like a monkey. All the other sims in the room (and there was even one sitting on the same sofa) got little thought bubbles above their heads with her face in it and seemed a bit annoyed :lol:

The sims really do have distinct personalities this time around. That same sim, when I first moved her into her home, 3 neighbors came over to visit. Two of them went straight to the pool, but one of them instantly kept getting a thought bubble with my sim's face in it and kept making a sort of "wow, she's HOT!" motion. She was sweet as can be to him right away, yet to the others first thing she would so is walk right up to them and try to irritate them haha.

Anyone else have some silly observations? :)

My knowledge sim seems to enjoy spying on Mortimer during the day with her telescope. Then he rushes over and pushes her around :p

Also already had a visit from the burgler and that was a good time LOL the policewoman showed up and there was a huge brawl in the living room between her and the robber.

One question though.. has anyone found out how to turn OFF the burglar alarm? I had to sell it & buy a new one to shut it up.

Well when the sim I was playing last night (or was it this morning?) got pregnant and started to show the husband brought home a friend from work. It turned out to be the same woman the wife had been talking to in front of the house earlier that day. Anyway as soon as the frien walked in it looked like she asked the wife if she could rub her belly! That's all she did was rub the belly and talk about babies.

It was cute.

I made a single guy sim because I want to start from scratch to test out the game. Anyway, he went to the community lot to buy a game and this girl marisa and one of the caliente sisters was there. He hit it off right away with marisa, chatting, tickling, talking and she kept showing his face in the little bubble. The caliente sister walked up to him and smacked him!!! Then she taunted him and my poor single simmy turned around and cried!!! It was so cute but so sad all at once. lol

He waited until he got home then he called marisa haha. That'll show miss caliente!

I posted this on another thread but I will add it here as well, I have an adult male sim who likes to stand in the bathtub fully clothed an pretend it's a boat, I think he also plays pirates too. When it first happened I thought he was bathing his daughter, but he was in there forever, and when I looked closer he was playing make believe in the tub - alone!

i found it funny when i left a toddler in its bed when it was awake and he started to pick his nose and then looked at his finger and started laughing lol

I also like the paper planes that you can make with the newspapers!

It was funny you also made submarine noises and put his arm like a parascope...I was actually worried that the sim shrink would come over for him.

In the time I've played (although constantly through graphics problems with red menus and stuff) I've had two children who've both been constantly obsessed with playing in the toilets!!

Water splashing EVERYWHERE.

That's deeply disturbing.

Fact is, I hired the Nanny to watch the kids, they both played in the toilet still AND the nanny came up, watched them, then walked away and didn't stop them...BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD caregiver.

I was checking out the families already in the game. I almost snorted soda out my nose when Don Lothario finished dinner he belched and then farted - green gas cloud made it even funnier! :lol:

The first (and well only, so far) sim I created is a female Leo. She's really hot, but sloppy and outgoing. Anyway, after I first moved her in, 3 people came to visit, 2 guys and a chick. The chick left almost immediately after the two guys started whistling and checking out my sim.

Anyway, 2 days later, she's got the fireman she's hot for over and another guy. The neighbor guy gets in the hot tub, so she goes out to join him, and just gets completely naked and gets in. She invites the fireman out, and as he approaches the hot tub, he looks at her, looks shocked for a moment, and then gets a big dopey grin on his face.

Also, my sim keeps dreaming about herself, which is so narcissitic. She also dreams about the paper boy, which weirds me out a bit.

Oh wow!! All the stories that everyone has said sound so cool and I bet its even better seeing it for real on the screen :D :D
I can't wait till I get the game for real, but keep posting your stories, cos I love reading what people have to say about their beloved sims!!

Yeah with the couple I made last night Lloyd got up from dinner, turned his back to the table and farted! Then he looks over his shoulder with a grin to see if he got a reaction out of his wife. All she did was look at him like "that was not funny" and continued eating. He hasn't done it since.

Earlier the wife, Amber, was taking a shower. Lloyd comes in and uses the toilet and then flushes! Amber let out a scream! She couldn't get out of that shower fast enough. He took off down stairs and she stood at the top of the stairs and yelling and gestering wildly.

ohooohhhoh i can't wait, tommorrow its here and i can finally join the sims 2 site create a wonderful movie and so much more. (giggling) oh i can't wait! i more excited then ever. thought i'm worried if i can afford it. i would have pre-ordered it but i don't have no visa or credit card.

i'm also wondering...

what do you use to edit the movies you create

Oh my goodness, I can't believe the details! I love that the shower gets cold when someone flushes the toilet - that's hilarious! This is my new favorite thread.

I got robbed last night. After the fight and as the burglar was being led out to the police car, one of the house's residents walked up to the alarm and shut it off. It might be that you did not have a path to the controls :P

Also interesting was that the policewoman stayed around for a while to chat. She wanted to take our statement but Bob kept trying to pick her up!
