You start with a single adult CAS whose first name begins with the letter A. This Sim then has to marry (or at least have kids with) another Sim whose name begins with the letter A. When it comes time for them to have kids, each child's name must start with a B. Then when they grow up, they have to marry someone whose name also starts with the letter B. This continues on with each letter of the alphabet. The object is to see how far down the alphabet you can go. I think it will be quite a challenge when you get to "odd" letters like Q, X, and Z.
The rules:
1. Your Sims can only marry NPCs. Otherwise, it would be too easy to find someone whose name starts with the same letter.
2. No using boolprop, SimsEnhancer, etc. to make people fall in love or change names.
3. You can use other cheats as you wish as long as they don't interfere with the naming aspect of the challenge.
I just started this challenge myself, so I'm still working out the details. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

For X, I know of Xavier the maid. Nothing for Z or Q yet though.

I think that as part of the challenge, if after a certain number of sim days you still can't find an NPC with the right name, you should be able to marry a CAS sim, or maybe an NPC who has a surname starting with the right letter instead of their first name, might make it a bit more feasible.
Sounds like a fun challenge though, you'd never forget how many generations you had that way!

Like I said, I'm just starting this challenge myself so I don't know how feasible it all is. One thing about the names is when you marry/move in a Townie, a new one will be generated. Maxis tends to be pretty inventive with the names, so who knows, maybe a couple of Q's and Z's will pop in somewhere. It would be cool if someone could get all the way to Z, though.
I forgot to mention in my original post that adoption is allowed in this challenge since it's not focused on genetics, if anyone's wondering. I know if you adopt a baby, you can name it yourself, but I'm guessing older kids already have names?

Can your heirs go to uni in this challenge? It makes it much easier if they can, since they can just look in the campus phone directory and search for someone with the right name. There's got to be a Zoe in there, surely! Not sure about the Q or U names though!

I remember having a townie in the Sims 1 named Quentin. Maybe they recycled that name somewhere in TS2...

The twins finally grew up and married their respective loves - Cassidy-the-bartender for Carson, and Calista-the-gardener for Clinton. As kids, Carson was way cuter than Clinton, but he developed these really puffy cheeks as a teen - and worse as an adult. Clinton, on the other hand was a massively ugly kid whose looks have improved with every age transition (to the point where he's a passably attractive adult). Cassidy and Calista got pregnant within a day of each other, and they both had sons - a redheaded Dante for the redheaded couple (Cassidy's not really a brunette - nor was Brandon), and black haired Diego for the black haired couple. The Ds turned into children today. Currently, Dante is cuter since Diego's stuck with his mother's mouth (poor thing!) - but that may change as they grow. Whoever's cuter by the time they're adults will be marrying Dagmar-the-maillady who will hopefully inject some attractive genes into this family that's rapidly turning into a future "Dilute the Ugly Gene" project. :) In other weirdness, I've been determining aspiration randomly (as in the Legacy Challenge), and my cards seem to *really* like aces. Four out of five sims born/created in game have been Fortune! I'm really hoping for some new aspirations with the boys.
I've attached a family tree showing the three generations of adults and a picture of the two kids.

I am someone who likes naming things, so this is why the challenge is so interesting to me.
btw, Susie, I think your fourth gen kids are cute! ;)
