i've downloaded stuffs and installed them with package installer.. so all the files become .sim2pack files and go to the Downloads folder automatically.
Some of the stuffs work just fine in the game, but some of them didn't work at all.
How can i get the stuffs work well in the game?

You may not recognize the name anymore because the Package installer will give them gibberish names.
If you've done all this and they still don't show, go back and check to make sure that you meet any requirements the creator may have stipulated (needing certain EPS, or a particular mesh, etc).
The very first post in this sticky gives a nice overview on downloading items for the Mac.:)

Got the Mac. Installed The Sims 2. No problem. Downloaded files from TSR via straight download and then moved them to the Downloads folder. No problem. Installed via the package installer. No problem.
Yesterday I got University and Nightlife for Mac and installed. No problem... until I try to install using the package installer THEN I get a creepy and incorrect error stating my processor has to be at least 500 mhz. Hello? My processor is 2.26 ghz. I did not get this msg prior to yesterdays added EP's but cannot see what would have cause this. Is there a 'tweak' I'm supposed to do? I have searched EA and they have nothing to do with package installer (as far as I can tell) and Aspyr doesn't cover it. Who do I contact or what (hopefully) simple remedy can I apply? I've included a snap shot of the msg I get AND the specs of my Mac behind it. Thank you.. please- in advance.

In other words, it's a glitch and it's safe to ignore.

I searched back, because I remember some others having the same problem, but I didn't see a firm solution. But, there are a couple of different thing to try.
Where is your game installed? Over the years, and with different EPs, the correct location for the game's application files bounced around. You should make sure that they are in the Applications folder.
If that doesn't help, you can try reinstalling NL over top of what you currently have. In other words, no need to uninstall anything, just reinstall NL.
And another thing that worked for some people, was to move the package installer out to the desktop and run it from there.

I had the same trouble for awhile and thought my installer was defunct after upgrading to Snow Leopard, but if you hit ok on that screen, it should come up with a screen that says "Double click on package file to install" or to the same extent. I've been just finding the sims2package file and double clicking that and it will open in the installer. Has that not been working?
Also, I'm having trouble getting some object packages to appear in game. Is there a thread for this specific issue? I have the mesh package in there already and have installed by moving it into the Downloads AND installing through package installer AND MacUnpac and nothing has worked.

No, there's not a specific thread. Are you checking to make sure the objects that you're downloading don't require an EP that you don't have?

Everything else in that set worked fine in the game, but this one doesn't show up for some reason. I have the EP required for it. I'm at a loss.

You could contact the artist directly and see what they say, but first try downloading it again and reinstalling the light in case something went wrong with the original download.

No, unfortunately it seems macunpak is no longer being supported. But you can try the other tips and see if those help you.
