Oh, and I checked and they don't require any expansion pack...I can't think in a reason for this to happen

I went to peggy sims & downloaded the mac mini to test it for you, & it doesn't show. However, the wacom tablet that I downloaded from there does show up. So I don't think the problem is your game, I think it's something with Peggysims' files. I would let her know about this.
At first I thought maybe they were mis-categorized, so I checked under *show all*, but the mac mini's just not there.

I've had the Sims 2 for several months now and I have NEVER been able to get a downloaded lot to appear in my game. I've been installing the .Sims2pack that the lots come in, but they never show up in my Lots bin. Am I doing something wrong or skipping a step?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My poor sims are living in houses I've built, which are night nearly so nice as some of the ones others create.

Yup - it always say it's installed.

I don't think that's it - I've always been very careful to check compatibility. There are a few I KNOW should work for me that never have. (For example, 220 Wright Way off of the Maxis site.)

If your game isn't in your Applications folder, then I don't know what to suggest.

Example: I downloaded the Teen Union Jack Dress from this site, but it shows up as the red punk dress. This is the same with all of the clothing I downloaded. Help?

.Package files just get copied into the downloads folder. The error you're getting sounds like the same error I've gotten when I've accidentally double-clicked a .package file.
Otherwise, check to make sure your game was not installed into the Applications folder. That too can give strange installation errors. The game needs to be installed either to the root of the hard drive or in a Games folder that is on the root level.
Hope this helps.

I looked, but it seems that custom content doesn't appear AT ALL unless it's in a .sims2pack, mesh or no mesh. Can I make .package files into .sims2packs?
