Many of you have probably seen the announcment regarding Bella threads by now, but it seems that some of you are still having trouble finding her and would like somewhere to discuss it. To avoid another flood of threads about the subject, I am creating this sticky so those of you that want to discuss Bella and her whereabouts can do so.

To keep the forums as well as this thread as tidy as possible...
- The rule about new Bella threads still stands!
- Try to read this thread before posting questions. Your question might have been answered already and it makes it hard for others to find information if they have to wade through a sea of repeat questions and answers.
- Search is still your friend.

I will start things off by sharing the easiest way to find the mysterious dark haired woman in a red dress...
She is a townie in Strangetown. If you have installed the patch from the official site, she she will randomly visit your residential and community lots just like any other townie. If you have University, your game was patched during the installation so don't worry about downloading the patch.

when i first played the university EP and i did not load patch from the site, but i found bella with out the patch. she came walking down the street. so my sim invited her in the house. so i must been lucky.

hi susan!! when you installed uni you got the patch from the cd and it installed it automatically probally without you knowing it. that's probally why you started seeing bella !!

It's true. The University EP includes the patch on it when you install it.

there are 2 bellas there is one dead one in pleasantview,(where you can get in SimPe) and a clone of bella in strange town.

thats why ST(ST=Strangetown) bella has no memory or family she simply just another NPC Townie!

you can get the real bella by doing what Zythe had posted earlier which is below

That's fine, I love explaining this.

1) Download SimPE from http://sims.ambertation.de/
2) Run SimPE once you've installed it
3) Go to Plugins and choose "Neighbourhood Browser"
4) Select "Pleasantview"
5) Under Flietypes choose "Neighborhood/Memory"
6) Choose "Neighbourhood/Memory" again under packed file
7) Let the list of wants, fears and sims run through completely
8) Choose "plugin view" along the bottom row of tabs
9) Choose Bella Goth along the left list of sims
10) Select any memories which say "I Am Dead" and press delete on the right for each one
11) Choose "commit"
12) File>Save
13) Close SimPE
13) Run The Sims 2
14) Load up Pleasantview and any household of your choice (but the Goth house makes most sense)
15) Open the cheat box by holding ctrl+shift+c
16) Type in "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" and press enter
17) Shift+click a sim and choose Spawn then Tombstone of L and D
18) Type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled false" in the cheat box
19) Click the tombstone and choose "Add Neighbour to Family"
20) Keep pressing "more" untill you see "Bella" and choose that
21) Bella is now a playable character
22) Go into buy mode and delete the tombstone
23) Now live out your soap opera as Bella and destroy Mortimer's love life with Dina Caliente whilst she shocks Pleasantview with the revelation that she is alive after all!

Just a little easter egg about Bella: If you see a hot air balloon in the neighborhood veiw, look closely. Zoom in on the basket, and you can find a woman ina red dress just like Bella's... It hard to see because the hot air balloon is always moving, and it is hard to get close to Bella, but with a little patience, you will be able to find her.
I also think that there is a painting in the game that you can buy that has Bella in it.
I found Bella without the patch easily. I, in a way, doubt that it was in Strangetown, because there is only one house there that I have ever played, and I played it for only five minutes. It might have been Pleasantview, or one of my custom neighborhoods. Maybe I am going crazy, I don't know...

I believe, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you play on a Mac, you don't need the patch. That's what I play on, I don't have the patch, and she showed up as a townie with the first house I played with in Strangetown. It might be something that was fixed before the game came out.

I've never been big on the Goth family, but I did restore Bella with SimPE in the Pleasantview neighbourhood about eight months ago. There was a thread on here about how to resurrect a dead sim and it helped me cure her disappearing disease, but I can't remember for the life of me who posted it or if it's still around. Maybe there's been another one since...I don't know. But even that Bella is incomplete. I had her remarry Mort and they had a baby called Isabelle, but even when I had her sleeping with Cass's husband I got bored with them and they're currently stored on a disk somewhere in my backup files.

I've just married Bella in Strangetown to Pascal Curious and they have a child together. She's also very friendly with Pascal's alien daughter Starla. So that's fine - but to me she's a normal townie there. A very pretty one in a really bad daytime outfit - but just another townie .

I found Bella in Strangetown with no memory, I put her in a house and moved her back to Pleasantview(Her in House and all).Used the boolprop raised her from the dead.
Never used the SimPe. My question, whats the big fuss, she don't even look like bella in
the ps2 console game(The Sims Bustin' Out).I dont think she is that pretty,but thats my opinion.

That's bull. There's a hack, though. The only methods are the SimPE one I listed above, or the hack by simslice.

And please may I give my theory, that Strangetown Bella is an alien clone of the real Bella. She has none of her memories and there are no references to her anyway, and SHE'S NOT IDENTICAL. The real Bella is still "missing", unless you "find her".

The real Bella's in Pleasantveiw, I found her with boolprop. She was alive, as well, because I tried to use boolprop to raise Cornelia from the dead and it didn't work. Bella in Pleasantveiw had memory and was in the family tree.

No, only one. Some SimPE versions or moving sims between neighbourhoods will duplicate character files or instances of character files.
