Yes, we pumped this hood out in record time I believe. dev, I had an A-1 awesome team to work with. I hope to join them again on another one some day, after a siesta from Morewood. And don't worry about the email thing dev, I did it too. I just forget it's a big deal and slip. :o

Right now I have my story thread going and Nana and I are wrapping up some add-on lots for those with EPs to add some spice to Morewood. Not that it's lacking. :P But it's only base so if you have EPs you might want an OFB lot that fits into Morewood or even just a cemetery done Morewood style. I don't think Nana and I will finish the request list since it's quite long, but we do have some specific ones we want to finish before dropping dead from overcommitment. :P

I want to play and enjoy. You do the same and be sure to share your dysfunctional adventures with us now that you've gotten it downloaded. Hurrah!

MY FIRST STORY

So when I first got on I was waaaaayy excited. I looked around at the fzmilies and decided to play as the Lomas family. I entered the lot and got all their bars up and thats right when the Gypsy decided to show up. (Ihave NL) That's also when Uuuuuuuh shoot I forget her nam the girl decided she wanted a blind dat. So she goes and asks cause I figured I'd make her happy and then the Lady asks her to Pay. So I ACCIDENTALLY I swear, pay 176, leaving the family with 20 simoleans. :lol: I'll have pics of the date later but I'll give you a hint of how it goes. The tenn brother isn't very happy about it. LOL

When you do have the pics, look for the story thread, and share them there. It stays on top because we all share what we are doing as we go.

Do you have pets installed Adriana?

If so, the problem isn't specific to Morewood, but all neighbhourhoods where the "deleteAllCharacters" cheat has been used and no NPC's such as the maid, repairman and nanny have been generated. When you install Morewood the only NPC's that are available is the papergirl and the burglar. It's seems to be a Pets bug and will hopefully get fixed with the patch.

Someone else had this problem in the Help Forum. I'm not too sure if the fix will help with the problem as I never experienced it myself with Morewood. Go to the main moreawesomethanyou homepage, click on "Members only message board". When the customer login and password boxes appear select "Login" without entering anything (you don't need a username and password to download hacks) and then go to "The Firing Range". Scroll down a bit until you see Service NPC Generator Fix for Pets p0 *CRITICAL*.

Thanks for covering that Charlotte. :) That would be my guess as well. Go check it out at MATY. I didn't even bother playing Pets until I had some critical fixes from over there, and I'm on a Mac. We seem to get most of the PC bugs now. It never used to be like that but it is now.

I wonder if you tell the game to generate them if it fixes it? (using boolprop and the mailbox) I still had no problem after my Pets install, except that I had to call back all my nannies to re-schedule them. (I almost lost Raynald's alien twins because of that, good thing I'm not fussy against exiting without saving :P )

Yeah, I noticed Charlotte's Nanny is screwed up so I'll have to fix the schedule next time I go in there. It's not as critical since Pirrip is hanging out unemployed for now, but she's a good nanny and with twins and a dog, Pirrip needs all the help he can get. :D

I had to download the .zip files for Morewood but I don't know where to put all the files. Can anyone help? :wacko:

Well, first off, welcome to Morewood. Second, put the two package files in your downloads folder. Those are custom neighborhood decorations made by a Morewood team member. They're optional though, if you don't install them they just won't show. No worries. Third. The N009 folder goes in your neighborhoods folder. Be sure you don't already have a N009 in there or it will overwrite it.

Also, have a look at the Morewood troubleshooting thread for other things. It's sort of a Read Me out of the box. It was an afterthought, but it might help you out. Here's the link. :)

You can rename your folder contents w/a very handly little program called the Ant Renamer. It very easy and very fast to use. Don't rename your folder until after you've run the program though. You can find the link to it in FizzyJim's post in this thread.

I actually find it works better to rename the folder before running the program. That way ther's no chance of the program doing it for you and then not being able to find the contents of a now non-existent folder.

If you're on Mac you'll have to do it manually. At least I haven't found an automator script yet to do it. It's not the end of the world. :P I renumbered my Morewood to N004 for my son. He needed his own and I had N009 already. It just takes a little patience.

Ain't it great?! We went through a lull there for awhile but just lately newbies have come to Morewood. Maybe it's the season. More folks locked up inside due to weather and just want something new. Or, perhaps word of mouth has been positive. Doesn't matter to me which, I'm just happy to see new interest. :)

Well, Morewood is so fun to play. The sims in there are as dysfunctional as we wish they would be :P Well, except for Thomas More who doesn't seem to understand he's suppose to stay hidden :lol:
