Yes, it is slated to be released in Feb of '09. I can think of a few things to be improved upon, lol.
Please pray for the peace of Israel!! That is to pray for the VERY soon returning Christ. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. When Jesus died on the cross He took our sin and shame; He offers us His righteousness as a GIFT that we must claim.

Yes, as Sonshine said, it's true... and like her I can think of a lot they could do. For one thing, I am tired of everyone having so many different problems, even those with the exact same specs differ in their troubles, so hopefully the Sims3 will be esaier on the Computers that play it, this time around.

I have decided to give up real life in order to Sim, 24/7. I have come to the realization that I have been losing myself far to often in a world that is far too realistic. Please support me in my endeavors to leave reality behind and totally Immerse myself in fantasy."

I'm hoping that with Sims 3 we'll be able to customise sims' bodies as well as their face - height, weight, shape, size etc. I know the game's supposed to be fantasy-like, but having all the sims built like models is a bit much. :)

I tend to agree with what has been said above. You'd think that the sims, above all other games that depend on fan-content creation, would get game supported/company supported programs that make life easier. I do know in some games, the developers "create" thier help software under other names to make it easier for the community to create content, --the civ series comes first to mind, I don't know if anybody at EA had a hand in SimPE, or any of the other tools most of use. 3 cheers for 'em if they did, if it was simply another set of talented gamesters, then that kinda informs you where the company's head at..."Hmm, sell new "stuff packs" every quarter or compete with user created content.." With the sims there is room (and demand) for both, a thousand chimps working a thousand years wouldn't be able to fill the wants of some of us for good quality work.

Gamewise, I really liked the carnival stuff at MTS2, (sorry for not remembering the creators name) but she did a great job of it, but for sim3, they could start lookign at that sort of 'over-the-top' stuff for lots, carnivals, zoos, (ya don't wanna be the poor sim who has to clean up after the elephants) but they could give us really dynamic /unusal stuff. I love the game designers humor, with the vampires & aliens, (and all the inside easter egg puns) let em go amok, if they will build it..we will come.

I like the aspiration stuff in sims2, it makes it an acutally playable game, rather than a great big doll house/bubblegum collection game, I hope in sims3 they push into the work worlds for the sims, so you can stay on the character as you rise in fame or wealth or whatever you wanna do. Also with marriage/child rearing, they could get into the nuances of it all, not just the negative stuff, (fights etc) but basic human values that make family, ..well family. (though to be fair for the type of game it is, they do already do a A+ job of it)

biggest improvement: A file system that is logical, intuitive, easy-to-use, and above all editable, so if you have no interest in playing "mideviel" for a day, you don't have to load it, you can load "bubble gum" or "sportsman" instead, without the lag that you get now by everything going into the game at once.

--make the file names of -in game use english (language) logical
--give the ability to remove "default" clothes/sims/etc at the players choosing
--make creation so people with talent but little computer sense won't be quite so overwhelmed up front

and for me privately, they could give me great joy with designable exotic pets. Like horses and maybe lions. Since it's a crime (literal and moral) to have a pet gorilla in the real world, it'd be nice to see how the big ape would do in the simverse.

That's a really great idea... It would be so handy to just be able to load my sci-fi sets instead of every thing. I do have several download folders labeled as such that I swap in and out depending what I'm playing but really, to be able to have the game do it... and to be able to remove the default clothing you find horrendous would be great in itself!

Yeah. I'm kind of hoping The Sims 3 gets postponed a bit, though. Just to give me more time with The Sims 2. Like, a good six months to a year after the last expansion pack would be good, before they started selling TS3.

But I really hope you get to customize everything that Liz M had said. That would just be awesome.

I believe it will be about a year after the last ep. If I don't miss my guess, the last ep will prob come out this Feb or March and Sims3 is due to be released about Feb or March of 09.

I'm sure it will be better in many aspects, more realistic, better graphic quality, more detailed customisation...etc. But the only thing I wish terribly is, the game doesn't require vista (but compitable of course) and doesn't require very high system configuration with less loading time and slow downs...

I'm hoping that they improve the AI and make it more "intelligent!" Right now the sims can't get around some of the dumbest things or they will traipse all the way thru the house, up the stairs and to the other end just to get to a toilet when there was one right next to them! lol I hope for an inbetween age between 30's and 90's, maybe a couple of inbetween ages. It will probably require a much better system than we have now and *hopefully* microsoft will come up w/a more gamer friendly OS by then.

Sims 3. Yep, I've heard about that one.
And all these while, I've been worrying myself thinking whether my laptop will be able to handle super Sims 3. :(

Thank goodness it's scheduled for 2009. Gives me longer time to upgrade my comp OR get a new one for Sims 3 ;]

Haha! Gotta love the weather man!

Although the sims 3 will be coming out in 2009, I probably won't get it. If the sims gets too realistic, probably most people wouldn't want it. Plus, it also depends if they still use SecuROM at the time.

I KNEW IT! I knew EA will create SIMS 3! XD Is Will Wright STILL the creator of the sims? Or He's been replaced.

Oh nononono. I disagree. I think a whole LOT of Sims freaks are little control junkies and the more realistic it gets, the BETTER for SIMWORLDDOMINATION! :Apr:

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Uh, heh. :Oo:

I do like the more realistic thing though personally. It could get TOO realistic technically, Eventually, but I don't think they have reached that point just yet. I think some of the realistic custom content looks "off" mixed with the cartoonish sim world. But if their world became more so I would be fine with that. :rah: As long as the actions and interaction and the game play never become too realistic. I already have a boring life so I don't need another. HEHE
