So officially begins part two of the de la Sangre legacy. You may find part one here. A very brief synopsis of the events in part one can be found here.
For all of you who have made the slog, thank you. :) This thread takes up right where the last one left off, shortly before Jachin and Jordan's wedding.
------------------------------------
"How're you doing?" Isis asked Jordan as she put the veil on her daughter's head.
"I'm fine - bit nervous, but fine...how are you? Have a good time last night?" Jordan asked, and almost burst out laughing to see her mother blush.
"I...well..." Isis stammered, then trailed off.
"Mom...I like Uncle Italian. You're good together. I will always miss Dad...but...Mom, it's been ten years. If Uncle Italian makes you happy, I say go for it....just no deets, please?"
That last line, delivered with a bit of a plaintive note, made Isis giggle, which effectively broke her embarrassment. "I...I like him a lot...I might even love him," she finally said, then added, "not like your father...I mean, oh, I don't know what I mean."
"I do...and I understand. Don't worry about it - just...Mom, you look so happy, just go with it."
Tears sprang to Isis' eyes and she hugged her daughter - carefully, so as not to wrinkle the lovely dress. "I'm so proud of you - you are the best child any mother could hope for," she said.
"Oh, Mom, don't do that - now I'm gonna start," Jordan said, sniffling. Isis took a tissue and carefully dabbed at the corner of Jordan's eyes. "There, all fixed," she said with a smile.
Jordan smiled back. "Then let's go get me married," she said.
-------------------------------------------
The house had been filling with family all afternoon - they were having an evening wedding so Barak could attend. Don Carlos just watched in amazement as person after person arrived. "I knew there were a lot of them - I saw the family tree - but...not so many as this!" he said. Paloma agreed. She had watchers around the house, as did Lord Dar. No one noticed animals, most of the time - especially the smaller ones. Paloma had met Irving, who was settling into his new home with his wife, and approved of him. He had good instincts, and was highly trained. He would be an excellent head of security. Well, the rest of it. Paloma was her own entity, but she was happy to work with such a competent professional.
Paloma smiled to see Lord Dar himself arriving, his mate on his arm. His mate was apparently cousin to Jordan, which Paloma found interesting. Most of the new family found Lord Dar interesting as well, although they were doing a good job of hiding it, for the most part. A man and woman with the same skin coloring as Dar's mate...whatever her name was...followed in behind them. Paloma caught a snipped of their conversation. "Ivonne, no one is even looking twice at me - not anywhere!" said the main as they passed. Paloma just caught the first part of the woman's response, something about how there was safety in that. She wondered how their kind were treated on the other side of the ocean. The Soldados arrived shortly thereafter, Angel looking a bit dyspeptic at the sight of all of the new family, which amused Paloma to no end. She and Angel did not get along, which wasn't surprising, given his hatred towards the Fey. That hadn't stopped him from trying to bed her when he was younger, of course...she may not be human but she was "good enough to woohoo", she thought in disgust, then shrugged it off. Years ago, it was.
Eventually night fell and the last of the guests - Barak and Balsam and their daughter Calla - arrived and Paloma closed the doors. She heard from Irving that the other doors were secure, so they all went into the grand hall to watch the event.
-------------------------------------------
When Paloma and Irving arrived in the hall and Jachin and Jordan knew that was the sign to go ahead, so they began. They said their vows to each other, both in Simlish and in Spanish, and exchanged rings. The hall erupted in cheers and applause when they kissed.
"Well, we did it," Jachin said as they broke the kiss.
"We did - we're married. Feel any different?" Jordan asked.
"Not really, you?"
"No...but suddenly I'm really hungry...probably because the jitters are done."
Jachin laughed and nodded. "You're probably right - I'm suddenly famished, myself. Let's go cut that cake," he said.
They cut the main cake and began serving. There were several cakes, of course, so that everyone could have a piece, plus a big buffet had been laid out in the reception room. The big dining room table had been turned into the head table, plus there were tables placed in the house's atrium and outside, to accommodate everyone.

"Lord Dar, I am very glad to meet you," Irving said over the Mah-Jong board. It was more a convenient excuse to talk than anything, but he was enjoying himself. He did have his earpiece in, still, but it sounded like the rest of the detail had things well in hand. Odd working with so many non-humans. Not bad - quite a few of them had some extrasensory abilities they could bring to the table. He was going to have to talk to some of them about those abilities and how they could be used, but for now he turned his attention back to Lord Dar.
"And I you - Jasmine tells me you were the one who found her when she was taken, so long ago. I'm grateful."
"Well, you had a large hand in that, Sir," he said.
"Dar, please."
"All right, Dar. Thank you for taking in my son and...niece," he said.
"I'm glad to have them - that part of Tierra is neither city nor Forest, and was falling to ruin. It is my hope that Fey and human can co-exist without me having to intervene too directly, and having the transition area inhabited again is a good step in that direction. I eventually hope to have some Fey living there, and some of mixed blood as well. Oh, and congratulations are in order, as I hear you're going to be a grandfather."
"Indeed...that's why Jesca isn't here tonight."
"Is she all right?" Jasmine asked, alarmed.
"Mostly, she's just not really up to going out right now - the baby is taking a lot out of her. Actually, I should get home," Jonathan said, standing.
"As should we - there's a water sprite looking after the twins, and they're competent enough, but it's the first time we've both been away from them, and I worry," Jasmine said.
"Of course. Well, good to meet you Dar, and good to see you again, Jasmine. Jonathan, give Jesca a hug for me - your mother and I will be over this weekend to help insulate the upper floor."
"Ok, Dad, will do, and thanks," Jonathan said, hugging his father and heading out.
----------------------------------
"Are you all right?" Jadon asked, concerned. Evi looked tired.
"Oh, I'm fine. Two weddings in two days...and we were out in the sun a while yesterday. I think I just got a bit too much yesterday....but if it isn't too early to do so politely, it would be nice to go home."
"All right, we'll tell Jordan and Jachin, then your father, and we'll go," Jadon said.
Jordan and Jachin were understanding - they were getting tired themselves, Jadon and Evi said their goodbyes and went to speak with Don Carlos.
"Don Carlos, Evi is a bit tired - a bit too much sun yesterday, perhaps, so we are going to go home," Jadon said.
"Are you all right, little one?" Don Carlos asked.
"Oh yes, Father, I am fine, just tired."
"All right, you go home and get some rest," he said, then turned to Jadon. "Thank you for taking such good care of her," he said.
Evi smiled - it seemed her father was coming around. Jadon simply said that it was his pleasure to do so and took Evi's arm to escort her to their car.

Italian noticed that Isis was beginning to droop, and felt a little guilty. He was thinking all the adrenaline of the day had worn off, and now she was feeling the effects of not nearly enough sleep last night. They had come back the previous night and finished the decorations and arrangements, but they'd also ended up together in her bed upstairs, so they hadn't exactly gone to sleep right away. He finished his cake and turned to her.
"So...I happen to know there are a few quiet places around here - how about I take you to one of them, hmmm?"
"Oh, I..."
"C'mon, just somewhere quiet for a little while - do you good," Italian said.
Isis nodded and they slipped away to a little garden area, complete with fountain.
"See, this is nice," Italian said.
"Yeah, it is," Isis agreed, melting into his arms.
Italian smiled and kissed her, then just held her close.
"I was just thinking that I need to find a place," Isis said.
"You aren't staying here?"
"No...it will get a little crowded if I do, and this place is too grand for me. I always thought the mansion back home was too grand for me, but this...the mansion pales in comparison."
"Indeed. Well...my door is always open, or I'll be happy to help you look - I seem to have some free time now," Italian said.
"I suppose you do...I might take you up on that," Isis said, and laid her head back on his shoulder.
----------------------------------
"Where's your mom?" Jachin asked.
"Gone off somewhere with Uncle Italian,"
"Ah...well, good for them," Jachin said, then smiled as his Grandfather Barak approached them.
"Jordan, you are absolutely radiant," Barak said, "And you clean up pretty nice too," he added, smiling at Jachin.
"Thank you, Uncle Barak," Jordan, said, smiling, "and I'm glad I finally got to meet Calla. She's...energetic."
Barak laughed. "She's a handful is what she is, although she seems to have inherited some of her mother's ability to process sunlight, so she's quieter at night, according to Balsam. She's calmed down a lot in the last hour or so...she's getting tired, actually, so we're going to head home. The wedding was lovely," Barak said, then hugged them both and left to gather Balsam and Calla and head home.
"What's say we go to bed?" Jordan said.
"Good idea...no one will mind if we slip away, and we do have an early flight."
"Indeed - I'm so looking forward to going to the mountains," Jordan said, and followed Jachin upstairs.

"Indeed," Iram agreed. He went to look in on the twins. He wasn't worried that his mother-in-law hadn't looked after them properly...just...well, he had to do it.
"Mama, do you have any of Papa's business cards on you? If you don't, I can get some from him tomorrow," Bella said.
"Of course I have some - he won't let me leave the house without them - how many do you need?"
"Many...you know Iram's cousin is the bride's mother? Dia mia that family is huge - and they all are raving about how beautiful it is here. That beach condo he helped Iram's sister and her husband buy? Just the beginning, Mama - I think Papa will be very busy soon. Iram's niece and her fiancee - I heard them say they want to settle here. Iram said he'd put all of them in touch with Papa."
"Well, then, let's not disappoint - I even have some of the color ones he made up."
-----------------------------------
Some months later, Raoul Fiora couldn't believe the numbers he was seeing. He could retire...Iram hadn't been kidding when he said that his whole family wanted to buy homes or vacation homes here. From the young ones buying their first homes to the ones his age and Iram's age buying vacation homes...they all had money - they'd all paid cash, so he was able to get them some excellent deals, and they'd rewarded him with bonuses. He had never seen so much money in his life!
He ran the numbers a few more times, and it always came out the same. If they were careful, they could live off this money for the rest of their lives. If he supplemented it by keeping his real estate license up and helping the odd friend or family member purchase or sell a home...well, then they were set. He thanked his lucky stars that Bella had decided to go to school in Simerica - he'd been so opposed to it at the time, but it had been the best thing that could have happened to their little family. Funny...he'd never thought that their family was little until he'd met the de la Sangre/Sharpe family...
-----------------------------------------
Note: Attached are a few shots of folks moving in, and their houses. They're just representative - they've all moved over, of course. :) The last two pictures are a closeup of Jamaica and Joanna in the same pose as the zoomed out shot of the house - they just look so cute. And the picture of Ira and Ianthe? That was autonomous. They were in the middle of doing it when I entered the lot for the first time. Even in the new neighborhood they're just as in love as they were in the old.

Anyway, it's amazing how you manage to keep track of about 1 million (give or take) sims. I can't even take care of 8 in 1 household :D:D
