I really miss the wishing well, the seasons, the greenhouse building stuff, THE ALIENS!, the slide for the pool, the underwear, the hut tubs, the rejuvenation thing, the yellow uniform paper girl (hate the little boy!), the women were more voluptuous or is it just me??, the sims 2 costum content (forgot the program's name!), separate icons! (build and buy mode), put your own music in the game (not sure you can do that on TS3) and I think that's pretty much it... What about you?

I agree with you on missing Seasons. I miss the weather a lot! That totally should've just been in The Sims 3!!! It's funny the slide doesn't connect to the pool like it did in TS2. Maybe they can patch that and fix that!!! Other then that I think I miss Pets! I always do when I go back to the base game. Pets just made it a little bit more livable! Other then that there isn't much to miss. I feel we got a lot of great stuff in the base game. I know a lot are dissapointed but I think I expected to MISS something in the game. But yes Seasons is truly to be missed!

PS: You paste your music into the My Documents -> Electronic Arts -> Sims3 -> Custom Music folder :D! It's a little buggy for me still though!

Can't you edit an existing town, evict everybody, bulldoze the houses and then replace them with your own?

A pain, I know but I think you could do it that way...

- Painting! Being able to pause during the 'capture' part, edit or replace the picture being painted, and paint whatever I like. You can't even pause during painting, so all my portraits are of sims looking the other way.

- The top down view during building and buying. Placing lights evenly without being able to look straight down is a pain.

- The wall count when placing walls. TS2 didn't do it right off, but one of the later EPs (AL?) added a count of how many spaces a wall was long while you were placing it. Framing buildings without it means I'm back to the count-the-tiles method to make sure my building matches up.

It's mostly little stuff like that... small touches TS2 added over its lifespan that made the game just a little easier.

1. Weather/Seasons
2. Being able to put down new, empty, lots -there's TONS of empty space in these Sim Towns!
3. Being able to put objects -like tables/doors- adjacent to diagonal doors (see my thread in Build a Lot forum for more on this.)

What I miss the most was all the custom content and sim characters. You could download any moviestar and they would look exactly like the real one. I was even able to create myself and my children and it gave me the chills at how much they looked exactly like us. I feel this is missing. No one looks like the real person/moviestar! Bummer. Maybe this will improve as more content is added and people get better with practice but it makes me want to go back to sims 2 for a while until the custom content downloads improve. Anyone else have an opinion? Sorry, but Edward Cullin just doesn't look like Edward Cullin like he does in sims 2. :rofl:

I'm really missing all the custom content - especially the lack of hairstyles. Personally i thought that with the longer delay, they'd have added a little bit more to the game. It's a little bit basic for my liking but i'm sure i can live with it. I know i could download hair off of the Sims 3 site but i don't really like the whole 'buying credits' thing. Money making scam in my eyes.

I really really miss seasons also, it was soo nice to have snow and jump in puddles!

I totally agree with you! I feel like the sims are weird looking and ugly! even though they are supposed to look more natural now, I think they don't! I also hate that in create a sim you don't have little drawings when changing specific things like in TS2, you now have "nose matter" and stuff like that... it just confuses me!

And... has anyone noticed that sim's relationships are very "cold" and stiff?? They used to have in the relationship panel hearts and stuff, they seem so much robotic to me now than in TS2... and is it just me or it seems impossible to fill the green relationship bar??

Hi everyone, I pretty much agree with all of you. Seasons, greenhouses, pets and being able to paint your own jpegs. Oh, and we are forgetting something or should I say "someone"..The Nanny!! Calling a babysitter every day you work is a pain and as soon as you get home, they leave. But having one set amount for him/her and the repair guy is cool.

I don't miss the dirty baby bottles all over the floor LOL.

I always have ideas, and one was more things you can do with the babies/toddlers, that I wish they would do, but since they took bathing them out, I know it's not going to get better/more things to do with them.

Do you think if I would actually submit some ideas, that they would actually read my email maybe even consider some of them?? Just wondering.

Does anyone really miss Apartments? I do!! I miss Seasons a lot too. I did without the Pets one for a while, didn't really miss that. I really liked building apartment complexes.
I don't like how you can't build your own town either. This really irritates me. Can you? If anyone figures it out, let me know okay!

Painting: I also miss the fact that we can't paint custom content.I liked my Sim being able to paint photos that I have on my hard drive.(Really miss that!)

and we need more hair styles! Alot more hair styles.

I also miss PETS!.
One day I was walking, training and playing with my pet dog in the game while my real dog was whining to go out. LOL
(Don't be sad for my real dog, The guy gets more love and attention than any dog I know.)He's my best friend and I'd like to put him in my game again.

Oh we also need bigger house plants.yeah, we really do.

I didn't get the chance to try out apartments :( Really hope something similar comes out for TS3, because it seems a great concept :)

I miss memories sooo much! When my sims were at work or I had no one to play with, I would always be looking at their memories, I think it made them more "sensitive" and it was nice to see they remembered stuff just like us
