Before you report workshop errors please make sure all the following has been checked.
1. Clean install. That is if you get errors on installing as an update. Uninstall older WS Version and Install the Newer version.
2. Plugins must be replaced with new. WS plugins are in the directory which you installed the workshop, It is in C:\Program Files\The Sims Resource\TSR Workshop\Extras
http://wiki.thesimsr...x.php?title=WSO
3. milkshape 1.8.5 needed
4. net framework 3.5 is needed
http://wiki.thesimsr...T_Framework_3.5
5. Bones must be assigned in workshop
6. Groups must be in proper order as the original clone. That is Groups in your clone must match the order the groups come in with the original object.
7. LOD's must be properly sized for shadow meshes
http://wiki.thesimsr..._of_Detail_(LOD)
8. You can not change the texture of an item which is not desingnable in game
9. DDS Plugins are needed
10. Older versions of .wrk files will no longer work. Nor will the LOD files from an older version. You must redo your project.
11. When installing a "Fixed" file you have already installed and uninstalled in game you must go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete simCompositorCache.package for CAS, CompositorCache.package for objects to see your changes.

Using DirextX Tool to create LOD meshes (or reduce vertices in your original mesh)
If you use the DirectX Tools in Milkshape to reduce the vertices in your mesh you need to reassign the joints after every use. If you don't do this then your game will crash when trying to use the new objects.

Thank You NancyJ :ty: . Same applies to objects. You should use the DirectX on your obj files NOT on the wso files. It will delete the bone/joint.

Also - forgot to add. Even if you mesh from the obj you should export the wso aswell to get the joint information.

Updated WS released. works with the patch. However, if you create with a patched game, you will have to inform downloaders that they have to have their game Up To Date to use your objects. The patch updates gamecode. The EP does not come into play here. But....WS is not cloning EP items yet.
