There are a TON of other programs you can use. There are free programs and there are pricey programs. For me, MilkShape is the absolute easiest program of the one's I tried. What don't you like about it?

Hi,
I don't like Milkshape's modelling capabilities either and I use Cinema 4D for modelling. But you need Milkshape 3D for assigning the joints and writing the .wso format. :)

Milkshape's the only one I've tried, and it did take a bit of getting used to. I'll probably try a more in-depth program somewhere along the line, but not just yet. ;)

I hate milkshape and only use it for assigning joints and as far as I know it is the only program that handles the meshes we export from workshop.
