Can't Excavate?

Hi, when I first started playing WA, I was able to do the excavating in the diff locations (Egypt, China,ect), but now every time I try to excavate, I get the blocked path msg no matter what direction I approach the pile from. I've tried removing all my mods (except story progression and master controller by Twallan), but still get a blocked path. Does anybody know how to clear this up? Thanks!

Sonshine, I think that was one of the buggy things when the Ambitions patch was introduced. I thought it got fixed already with a patch to fix it. Hmm.... very strange.

Which patch fixed the bug? I'll look at MTS to see if their hotfix works w/Ambitions. I have version 4.0.87.006001. Perhaps I can just go to another website and d/l the specific patch that I need?

I can't remember the number but it was the patch after the first Ambitions one. The one that came out after AMB EP came out. I'm fully patched so my game is 4.6.6 so I am not sure which one fixed it. I'm not having any problems in my WA worlds. I only have Base + WA + AMB though, don't have LN yet.

Well, I'm not sure what happened, but I d/led the hotfix from MTS which caused one of the members of the household to totally disappear and then I d/led th 4.2.32 patch from The Patches Scrolls last night. When I loaded the game after that patch, I got the msg that my base game was not compatible w/the saved games. 
If I get this straightened out, I think I'll just live w/the bug of not being able to excavate. I have to ask you Lisfyre, what features does the full patch give you? I don't know though b/c Cadiva said that the excavating is broken again w/the latest patch.
