ive been downloading some patterns & a lot of them wont install.

i put them in the downloads folder & when i open the launcher it just shows a box with no description or name & no option to install.

i tried turning them into package files & put them in package folder but that stoped my game working & i had to uninstall & reinstall it>

its sooo annoying as theyre such lovely patterns.

Can you provide some links to the patterns which aren't working for you please.

Well this is strange, yesterday i downloaded them again but this time i didnt put them in my downloads folder i just double clicked them & they installed & stayed installed!

But now im having trouble with some Sim accessories,

Okay, you need to install them from the Downloads folder, they won't work just by being in there, it doesn't matter if it just shows a box, that's a thumbnail image issue rather than a CC one. Using Select All/Install should still install anything in your Downloads folder which you meet the requirements for :--)

Also some accessories won't show up unless you have the required EP. Necklaces were introduced with World Adventures as an actual slot in Create a Sim I believe so unless you have that EP, you won't be able to use any which use a WA mesh, only necklaces which are cloned from other CAS items.
Make sure, when you're looking for the items in game, to search the whole of the accessories section as they may not be with the necklaces etc.

Also, if this happen again, try downloading the zip file instead of the sims3 pack. Then unzip them yourself. They should now show their thumbnails in the launcher instead of a box.

Thanks, i put the patterns in downloads folder first time & installed them from launcher & it said installed, then when i closed launcher & opened again they would be uninstalled, so after several attemps i downloaded again & put them in downloads folder but when i opened launcher it didnt reconise what they were ( ie patters,objects, sims) so thats when i posted in here.
& then as i said earlier i tried again & they worked.

As for the accessories i have all the EP's & stuff packs so i know i got the propper requirements, & its not a case of not being in the game its a case of wont install, i double click & nothing (over & over again)
