I've looked through all of the related threads here, and none are helpful. I'm getting the 'TSR Workshop could not locate the game folder. Would you like to browse for it manually?' error message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't fix it. Everyone says to select the Sims 3 folder (in Program Files) and I do, specifically C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. It still gives me the same error again. If I say, 'no' to the browse manually prompt, it gives me this message: 'TSR Workshop can not run without access to the game files, exiting.' and I have no choice but to press okay. It usually brings up the splash screen then, but if I try to create an object, I go through the same error process all over again.
Notes about my setup:
Both TSR Workshop and The Sims 3 are installed to their default locations.
I'm running Windows 7 on a 64-bit machine.
TSR Workshop has worked fine for me in the past.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all of my Sims games recently as they were pretty buggy.
If I go to the Preferences area, all paths for the various expansion packs look correct.
Please help - this is very frustrating!
Thank you!
