Violence in storytelling

I have a question regarding what is considered inappropriate in storytelling. I'm planning on making a story with a medieval theme. Main characters will include normal humans (peasants, swordsmen, wizards, servants, etc.), vampires ("good" and "bad" ones), orcs, trolls, ogres and perhaps a few other creatures.
The problem is that I want to make a few sword-fight scenes, nothing too violent, (no blood, gore, decapitation or dismemberment), something like what you would see in Lord of the Rings (all three movies were rated as PG-13 on IMDb).
Also I'd like to add a few special effects (with Photoshop), like magic (setting things on fire, creating shields, spawning demons, etc.). Can I add such images to my story if I put some sort of warning on the title page, something like "parental advisory is recommended" or similar?
Thank you in advance.

No, I am afraid you wouldn't be able to use swords or sword fights and we ask that all screenshots submitted are from the game and unaltered in Photoshop. Our full rules for storytelling are that, if it is possible in the game, then it is okay in a story.

The Sims Resource has many responsibilities to its audience. TSR is a community site, suitable for the same age range of gamers that The Sims caters for. The official rating for The Sims is PG13, and The Sims Resource bases its own standards on that same rating.

The game was intended for kids as young as 13 to play safely. That is the way The Sims was intended to be played. If your story content fits within those guidelines, "or is otherwise controlled," then TSR will allow certain creative liberties, with discretion. This policy also applies to the useage of mods, hacks or custom content that force age-inappropriate gameplay. Stories that depict violence (rape, murder, suicide) and non-game play relationships (teen woohoo, teen pregnancy, incest) will be returned to the author for editing.

The swords themselves were mods downloaded from ModTheSims, not images added in Photoshop. I only meant to use that program to add magic spells. Plus sword-fights are possible in Sims Medieval (which is PEGI 12+ and part of the Sims franchise). Anyway, I understand that this community has certain rules, therefor I will not be publishing my story. I'll just stick to finishing my objects that I want to upload.

Sword fights are possible in Sims Medieval yes, but Sims 3 isn't TSM and they are not possible in TS3 therefore they are not allowed in stories published about that game. I also understand you weren't going to photoshop swords, it doesn't matter what you wished to photoshop, we don't allow photoshopped images for stories, they must be as can be seen in the game.

Actually, the rules have been amended to allow swords, as long as there is no bloodshed or gruesome details that would cause the story to fall outside of TSR's PG-13 guidelines. And please note, Alhadron, that a movie's guidelines and TSR's guidelines are not necessarily one and the same. TSR's guidelines are based more on what is possible in the game itself without hacks, as posted earlier and per the forum charter.

Also, putting a warning on the title page similar to "parental advisory recommended" won't be accepted, either. If it doesn't meet the guidelines, it can't be published. Nice try, though.
