I recently re-installed The Sims Complete Collection after having had trouble likely due to too many downloaded items. I culled the files and ran The Item Check and removed items having a conflicting ID. My computer is a dual core pentium PC with Windows Vista and I have more than enough memory.

Everything has been going fine (though there was some minor trouble with certain doors, which I removed from the game), but this other family I currently have isn't able to go either downtown or old town. I haven't tried out the other places yet. The bus / taxi comes where and when it should, but then it just disappears. Doesn't go away, but simply disappears.

The other family has no trouble going to old town. They are both living in the "farming district", this troublesome family on the farm which has lots of apple trees in front of it (don't know the addresse in English, since I play in Finnish). Though I deleted the default house and made a new one. I haven't played much on this certain lot, so is it possible there's something wrong with the lot itself? Or could this be caused by some item or skin?

I've had another lot crashing every time it's in residential use (no matter who lives there and what they do), but when I make it a community lot it's working fine, so it's a kind of a permanent public swimming pool. I've never deleted the trash cans or mail boxes on either.

If the bus or taxi comes to the lot but then disappears, that is usually an indication that the vehicle portals are either not there or corrupted. You can try checking/replacing the portals. There are some user-made items that will allow you to do this...

They were able to go to magic town anyway when I tried, using the rabbit hole. I'm just hoping they're the only ones experiencing this trouble...
