Building of a brand new neighborhood in Simcity has begun. The city officials decided to name it Riverton. So far the population count is nine, but more residents are expected to move in in the near future. Riverton was considered as a host to the annual Building Fair, but the Simcity officials decided to cancel the fair for this year.

The first residents, Sakari and Sabina Säpilä say: "We were looking for a nice and quiet place. Now we have built our dream house and plan on living there for a long time, but it's almost too quiet. There are practically no services yet. However we have made friends with our neighbors, gotten a cat and another child, and life is looking good. Sirpa and Senja are happy with their school."

The Bonde family - neighbors to the Säpilä family - has an idyllic farmhouse where they have started a bed and breakfast business. Bern and Belinda Bonde have both grown up on a farm and have now made their dream come true. In addition to offering people country life experiences they are growing crops and selling home made wine. Their children, Pihla, Pietari and Piitu are especially happy about their two ponies. "I could well continue keeping this farm when my parents retire", says Pietari, "but I haven't really decided yet. I might become a sportsman too, hopefully a famous footballer."

The brewery in old town has been made a flea market named Wanha Panimo. However the building is in need of a major renovation, which the owner of Wanha Panimo isn't willing to start. It looks like the city will evict the flea market, but after that the future of the old building is open. There are plans for at least two shopping malls and an adult club within both old town and downtown. "The business life in Riverton should brighten up soon", says the president of the Simcity zoning commitee, "we are currently also searching for a possible lot for Ikea, which has shown interest in coming to Simcity. Riverton is our best option, since so little of it is occupied at the moment".

There are big dreams in the air. But the situation is as always: people will rather move to a place with services, but the services will only be able to exist when there are enough people to spend their hard earned simoleons. RiSCNN hopes the dreams of both residents and the officials will come true.
