It used to be that you could take them home and call the repair man. He/She would fix them up and you could use them or sell them. I dont think that works any longer does it? If it doesn't, is there anyway to actuall use these things, other than detonating them and using them for Scrap? Are there any Mods that allow a sim to fix them up?

There might be a mod that will allow you to actually use salvage items, but it does seem that for the present their sole purpose is to be detonated or smashed for scrap.

I'm confused. I don't remember ever being able to call a repairman to fix any of the things my sim found at the junkyard. :huh: The only option I remember was the one that fixed the object without any repairman and charged me the same price as it cost in Buy Mode! :huh:

If I remember correctly, the repairman tends to fix all broken items on the premises. So, if you called the repairman, and there were broken itmes that you had scavanged on the premises, then the broken scavanged items were repaired.
