Hi All,

I need HELP desperately!

I've re-installed TheSims... all the way to Superstar... on another computer as my old computer died.
But, when I tried to import the old userdata and gamedata, it somehow 'corrupted' the game, ie could not locate the skins which I'd earlier created years ago, and it keeps giving Import Error. I surrendered and uninstalled Superstar.

I tried reinstalling from beginning - ie the very first TheSims. IT was ok, but when it reaches Livin' Large, it keeps telling me that "an existing version 1.2 is found" and installation was aborted. I do not know where they detect version 1.2...as I thought I have uninstalled the game. Now I am stuck with TheSims with only 1 neighbourhood.

I tried uninstalling TheSims and reintall anothe time, but still get stuck at Livin Large.

Hope some kind souls could HELP enlighten. I really love this game.

Livin Large was notorious for installation problems, so EA/Maxis did come out with a fix for that. Even though they took down the official Sims1 site last year, you can still access the download for the fix here -- http://thesims.ea.co...question82.html
