Right now I'm frustrated with my University. There is a central lab filled with computers. Why is it that when four PC's are free my Sim will stand behind another Sim and shout FOREVER until they pass out or die or something because they want on the PC the other Sim is on???
I want my college students free will on. If you shut it off they stand in one place after class and stare at nothing and freeze to death in the snow. No, I'm not shutting off Seasons/winter. Uni is both the funnest and most boring expansion of sims 2. FOUR semesters are a little bit loooong and drawn out.
But this fighting over a PC gets my goat. Yeah, I can give each a PC in their own room and lock the door and delete the lab. But then I have to remember where everyone's room is and I loose that community feel.

One of the "features" of TS2 seems to be that the Sims are less than bright about dealing with objects that are already in use. It's not uncommon for a Sim to try to use something that another Sim is already using.
One of the notes for the FreeTime patch says "Sims will no longer autonomously attempt to interact with a computer that is already in use." Also, TwoJeffs at Simbology has a "Computer Fixes" mod for FreeTime and Apartment Life that addresses this issue. Google "Simbology" and look under "Misc Annoyance Fixing Mods", and you'll find it. Note that there are *two* packages in the zip, the regular mod and a no-autonomy version.
