If you are pointing RigFix to the Downloads folder, that is not going to fix what is currently installed in your game. The Downloads folder is just for items waiting to be installed. So that will only fix items that have not been installed yet. Depending on when you downloaded those items, they may not need to be fixed. The files here at TSR were fixed by November 1, 2011. So if you downloaded content after that date, it has already been fixed and you do not need to run RigFix on those items.
Installed content will be found in the ebc/dbc files in the DCCache folder and a backup package file will be placed in the DCBackup folder for use when exporting Sims and lots from the game. That's where you need to point Rigfix if the content is already installed in your game. Usually if an item needs to be fixed, it should automatically be checked. If there is no check mark and under the Encrypted Rig heading it says No, then the item does not need to be fixed. You only need to fix items that say Yes under Encrypted Rig.

Yes, I have the RigFix and the granny from TSR site here.
I have run it and fixed the folders, download folder, mod/package folder etc etc.
Still, I can't place stuff on tables or counters or any surface.
The sinks still sink to the floor, they don't show up as a sink in the kitchen.
Well, help please!
thnx,
Simlinny

So I've been trying to upload a lot I've made and bumped into a Rig problem.
I've seen the tutorial and have followed the entire TSR RigFix without a hitch. I reopened my game and made another copy of the said lot for sharing. Just to be sure I deleted all the objects in it besides the doors, windows, floors and wallpapers and made separate save for that. Basically the same lot but this time unfurnished.
I tried uploading both of these here in TSR and I am still having the same Rig problem.
I tried uploading another unfurnished lot I made before and it uploaded fine.
What seems to be the problem? Any ideas?
Thank you!
I wonder if there's such thing as Simmers Anonymous.

If you're run the program itself with no problem, then your issue one for the Support Staff to handle. Please send them a ticket.

So instead i clicked on open folder and did it that way, well it took hours, it hadn't had nearly half the stuff automatically ticked like the tutorial said, so i went through and ticked it all manually and fixed the lot.
The problem is, i don't know if this was right as although my counter tops etc are all working my game is taking literally an hour to load and when it finally loads up the game is running painfully slowly.
I know the error isn't my CC as i've had the same stuff and been playing it all fine for ages, i have a new computer which is more than up to it so only thing i can think of is the rig fix? did i over fix??
please help, totally ruining my day off from work lol can't build anything i wanted to without waiting ages for each item to appear load place etc etc.

Do you have a slow running game in all neighborhoods? Just in one? Is it all families or just the ones you play with regularly?

Can't help you on decrapifying, sorry. That's something you may want to research over at MATY.

At this point, anything's possible.
Do the items place and slot correctly in your game? That's probably the most telling test.
