Hi:)

I was wondering, is it possible to make the bedrooms for one sim?
Like when you have alot of cars, and you have one sim that has one of the cars as a prefered car.
Is the same thing possible on rooms somehow?

Becuase with a house with alot of sims the would be nice to make the bed arrangements easyer.
So each sim has his/her own bedroom, and remembers it, even better if the other sims knew that "that" bedroom is the other sim's room.

Please help me, thanks in advance.

I don't know about rooms, but with sims 3, the sims do know their own beds. So presumably, if you only had one bed in each room, your sims would sleep in the same room each night. At least, most of the time.

I agree with SheridanHoughton. However, if you're like me and you really want control over which room you want your sim in, make sure you make that sim active and lock their bedroom door exclusively for them and no one else. This is how I assign my bedrooms in the house. So far it works like a charm. Try that and see if that works for you :) Good luck and happy simming :)

Have not yet tried it... scared that the butler or the maid wont enter and clean the room, as fixing bed and cleaning the bathroom connected with the bedroom. would service NPC can pass the door? even lock and set to certain sim?

I don't think so.. I know if you lock and allow household members then butler and maid can get in. I don't use butler and maids in my game so I don't know if it will work or not. Let me know how that goes :)

i'm pretty sure you can do this - i think you have to have WA, but if you select the sim in question, click on the door to that sims bedroom, i think you have an option to "lock." i'll check it out for sure and get back to ya.

yes - if you put wall mode to "up," click the door to the room in question (with the appropriate sim selected) you have the option to lock the door to everybody (no sim enters), pets (no pets enter), everyone but myself (only the active sim can enter - this is the option you want), or only my household (only the sims in the active household can enter). watch out for multiple doors leading into/out of the same room, though.

yes that maids and/or butler can enter the room to clean even the room? I have encountered sometime that I locked the door of the library of my sim's house, then there is a fish bowl there and Poseidon (the name of my sim's fish. xD) died, due to neglect, the butler or maid didn't scoop it out, their master did it, as she has only access to the room. unlike the other fish bowl was in the living area, that everyone has access, the butler scoop out the poor dead fish from the fish bowl.

lisfyre - i did not see that you had already answered the question - apologies! i did not verify whether this method allows for maids/butlers to enter. i'll try it out and get back to you.

You can unlock door when you want to let the maid in, then lock it again.
