Hello There sweety. You have to give people time to get back to you on a forum hun.

Now, you are saying that something you downloaded here broke your game? Without knowing exactly what you downloaded and what the error is with your game this can be hard to pinpoint. Sometimes it has nothing to do with CC at all. The game itself has many errors and more than one person has had to reinstall the game because of it. Myself included and I only load my own CC and I happen to know MINE won't break your game.

Do you download from any other sites? Do you have any .package hacks in your game like the no game blur one? There are a lot of factors that can come into play for a game not starting. It's best you be calm and tell us exactly what is happening, not just "My game won't start". Another thing to keep in mind is any time you download CC from ANY site you are doing so at your own risk.

OK sweety do this. Go to My Documents>Electronic Arts> The Sims 3

Rename your folder called DC Cache to something like DC Cache 1 (right click the folder and select rename) and see if the game will load and get back to me here.

Then it's not the Custom Content that you got from here. The DC Cache holds all of that and if it was the CC then that would have run the game after you did that. You would have had a game with no CC. I'm afraid you will have to reinstall your game. You can take that DC cache out from the downloads fold and replace the new one after reinstalling your game.

So it has nothing to do with what you downloaded from here. Make sure you have no files in your MODS folder in the same place.

FIrst of all, Zuzuqueen, this is a forum, not a chatroom, so please do not expect instant answers to your questions. It may take a bit of time for someone who knows how to help you to get in here, see your post, and compose a response to it. Yelling at the people who are trying to help you does not get you an answer any faster either. In fact, that can deter people from helping you. So please stay calm and be courteous to the other members here. And always remember when asking for help to give as much detailed information as possible. Since we cannot see what you are seeing, we have to rely on you to tell us what is going wrong, and in as much detail as possible so we have a full understanding of what is happening to you. Thank you. :)

Now to your question...There could be a number of reasons why the game is not starting. 1) How are you trying to start the game -- by clicking the Play arrow in the game launcher, or are you using a shortcut to the game exe file? 2) Are you getting any sort of error message at all, or is just not starting? 3) In order to rule out any issues with your computer set-up, can you please post a DxDiag of your computer specs? You can find directions for that and the information we need to see from it here

Just a suggestion but could it be a .bad file in saves?. Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims3/saves and check if your saved game has .bad on the end of it. If it does then reply here for the solution.

Any problems or errors caused by standard .sims3pack custom content should be fixable by simply uninstalling the problematic content. If that doesn't work, along with what RicciNumbers said earlier, you can also try renaming your entire "Electronic Arts" folder. This a common thing for me while installing and uninstall lots of content, my game breaks fairly often. I think I'm to 7 Electronic Arts folders currently. When you try to start the game up, it will automatically create a new non-broken one. This runs a little bit deeper than just the CC - it will wipe out all game data. You'll have to copy your families and such from the broken Electronic Arts folder.

You can also simply reinstall the game. Unless you downloaded content that was possed by demons and it physically reached out of your computer and snapped the disc in half, there is no need to buy new anything
