Hi, the title says it. How do I make a sim a superstar? What career/profession do I put her in? I have a sim who wants to be a superstar and I've already had her take a drama class. The profession/job and it doesn't appear in the jobs available (I've looked through everything). Thanks!

Hi Sonshine,
In your commercial building library you should have a PlumbBob Studio. You will need to find a large commercial lot to put it on. I believe it it is 64 x64. You may have to destroy a building whether it is commercial or residential doesn't matter...you can change it to commercial. It has the acting and directing careers....so you will be all set to lead your sim to stardom.

If all you want is a sim with 5 star celebrity status, the fastest way to get it is to have your sim get into a relationship with a celebrity... the matthew hamming sim in bridgeport is a 5 star celeb, and he's single, so I often throw my young starlets at him until they reach 5 stars (which is about one date) and then break it off

Thanks Degera! I have another question. I found the Plumbob Pictures Backlot, but when I desgnate a community lot for it, I can't find the type of lot. There's everything except for that. I tried both vistors allowed and no visitors and neither worked. Does it matter which type of community lot it is?

It should be set to "no visitors allowed" like the hospital or school and you will want to make sure the parking lot is on the street side and fully accessible. If you are having trouble with the road access you can try downloading another picture studio that is smaller.

The problem is that if I select either vistors or no visitors allowed (or any lot category), I can't place the lot at all! The empty lot that I chose is 64x64 so it's the right size. I'm not sure why the lot won't place. When I try, all of the lot icons disappear.

you can always build your own. the actual rabbit hole building is WAY smaller than that 64x64 lot.

I d/led a much smaller one and it works great! I found out though, that none of my large lots will place. I tried placing a park which is just about as big, but it too won't place. I'm playing in Hidden Springs. Is this a bug for that town?

The Plumbob Pictures Backlot building is in the Community build objects section with all of the other rabbit hole buildings. It fits rather comfortably on a 40 x 40 lot for those who want to save their bigger plots of land for other things.

I have placed quite a few big lots -- 60 x 60 and 64 x 64 -- in Hidden Springs and have not had a problem at all.

I noticed that many of the neighborhoods have "empty lots" that are NOT really empty. The easiest way to tell is by the icon in edit town. When you have it set to just "visitors allowed" does the icon look like just a bench, or half a bench and half something else? (I can't remember exactly.) If it looks like just a bench, try to use the bulldozer on it to delete the lot. You should now see that you still have an empty lot, but the icon has changed. Now you can place pre-made lots on it.
