How do you get acess to the Kudo Exclusives? I really want the windows and curtains that are around the middle of the Kudos page.

I'm afraid these sets are no longer available (they shouldn't show there). Kudos will be replaced in v8 with something completely different.

What will happen to the Kudos people have when V8 comes in? Will they be lost ?

Kudos were introduced a long time ago when Facebook and all that social media stuff didn't even exist. It was a way to encourage activity on the site. We feel that with the 'new' social media tools we can achieve this even better. Also, the Kudos system got way distorted and is constantly abused. We will be taking a different approach with v8 and hope it will work much better. So yes, Kudos will not be present or converted in v8.

That's a shame. I really wanted that beautiful set. I've never used my Kudos, and now I guess I never will. Thank you for the reply.

Are you talking about kudos points......that I have accumulated to the tune of over 48,000 kudos points I haven't gone on an FA spree yet, or made a poll If it isn't these then good, but if it is these points when will I be prevented from going on a 24 hour spree? Is there a deadline yet...?

I would go on the spree now, if I were you. I did a few weeks ago, so that I could get some benefit from my points before they disappeared.

I don't believe this! I've got to uninstall and reinstall my game and then when everything was sorted I was going on an FA spree so there's no point in me going on one yet. I'm about to lose over 48,000 points that's taken me years to accumulate. NOT FAIR!

How did the kudos system get distorted and abused? I got mine fair and square - I love leaving messages for creators who have spent all their time giving us their great creations, it's the least I can do.

Common problems were copy/paste messages in masses and poor quality items submitted to the site only for gaining Kudos quickly. We will have much better stuff in place. You'll see.

You could still go on the downloading spree, just save all the sims3pack files on your computer until you have re-installed. you don't have to instal the CC straight away.

Just a simple question, How 'bout the purchased stuffs? like banner and poll, theme, etc... would they all disappear on v8?

Everyone can upload a banner on v8. Polls and Color-Themes won't exist though. However your profile pages will look quite stunning.

People were abusing the Kudos system?

Let's see how that would work,

If you posted 15 comments/day on downloads, it would take you 250 days to earn 7,500 Kudos (one free day).
If you posted comments on 10 different screen shots/day, it would take you 375 days to earn 7,500 Kudos.

I'm having a hard time believing anyone is THAT bored. Of course, anything is possible. Perhaps there are a bunch of inmates here hoping to score a free week of downloads when they gets released in 10-20 years.

Besides that, it says right on the Kudos score point page that "copy/pasted comments will be noticed and removed". It seems like THAT is what ought to be fixed. Throwing away accumulated Kudos does not sit too well with me personally. I feel I rightfully earned them by submitting the best houses I could build.

I have enough Kudos for 15 free days. Unfortunately since you may only have 2 free download days/month, it's still going to take me 7+ months to use them all.

Marauder, I explained above two of the reasons we think the Kudos system got out of hand.

And Kudos is definitely a feature which will be gone in v8. It's not built in at all so a discussion whether to keep it or not is pretty pointless since we have a new reward system anyway.

I take the 'no point in discussing a fait accompli' under advisement . . but still have to say that I [and I am sure I speak for a huge number of genuine members] have been accumulating Kudos in the faint hope that sometime there would be some Sims3 objects to spend them on, as it had been for Sims2., - items that were supposedly not available any other way. Talk about carrots for donkeys. . I already have all the minisite stuff that was available, but still have 195K points. BTW those Sims2 items that were referred to are still showing as of yesterday, because my daughter was planning to 'buy' the ShinoKCR set until I set her straight!
