Hello!
I'm returning to the Sims 3 after about a year, and am wondering if the ability to organize ones' CC in the Downloads folder has reappeared with the intro of the Generations and Pets expansion packs.
Sims 2 used to allow you to do it using subfolders, but Sims 3 up until Late Night didn't. Just wondering if that has changed because it would be nice to organize all my CC again (have a brand new computer and am loading everything back on...).
TIA!
Can CC be organized using subfolders in the Downloads folder?

Once you have installed the CC, it doesn't need to stay in the downloads folder any more. It becomes part of the DCCache. So you can remove the sims3pack files from the Electronic Arts folder completely, organise them any way you like, and keep them in a safe place in case you need to re-instal them for some reason.

I did not know that! Thanks!
Will all my old CC still work? I saw a blurb here that mentioned there were some problems after Generations. Anything I should be aware of?

Not generations so much as the patch that came with Pets. but it only affects furniture - clothes, hair, and build objects don't seem to be affected. But there is a program on TSR called rigfix that you can use to fix the furniture if you use a PC. but not available for mac.

Great thanks! Just went and found that program - will definitely have to use it! I noticed last night that there were some problems with my old CC furniture.
Thanks for your help!
