I have been thinking about what I would really like to see in a future EP - something with a historical theme - perhaps 2 or 3 towns in different eras. With the buildings and even careers fitting in. One feature I would really like to see would be for us to be able to put a selection of clothes etc in a collection and then have all the sims in a particular town - even the townies - wearing the clothes from that collection. So that when you were playing a medieval town, for instance, all the sims wore the right clothes. And all the buildings were in sync. and also the roads, etc. I have been playing a custom hood with a medieval theme, but every time a sim ages up, or a new sim comes to town, I have to stop what I am doing and change their clothes. And even then, they still go to work in all the wrong clothes. I think EA could do a lot with that sort of idea.

I would love more supernatural stuff in the game. ^.^ I just adore fantasy stuffs! Tho I do want seasons more than more magic at this point but it works for me. I know I will be getting the EP if that's what its gonna be. I just hope that this EP will fix some of the bigger issues that are in the game right now. Like the save errors and game crashes. I really would like it if they addressed these issues.

That is what EA did with Medieval. Totally to theme and very well done IMO. :)

Daisylee, does Sims Medieval play like the sims 3, though? I thought it was more of a role play game. If it is like sims 3 for play, I will give it a try.

I just had a look at sims medieval, and it looks quite different - eg the sims are not generational, and the sim has to fulfil quests, etc. so not really at all like the sims 3 where you make your own story. I would like the features I mentioned before - clothes, etc - but still with the sims 3 style game play.

It is a very different game but I like it as a variation. :)

I loved having Making Magic! (Pretty much the only reason why I still had Sims1 installed.) I hope they are making this one!
I think it adds a level of whimsy that my real life sadly lacks ^_^

i agree. I think this new ep if it is magic would add some fun to the game and allows for some quite funny things to happen.. its a nice Idea. My life needs magic :U...

Also I did look over that page and it looks as if it mentions more of Alchemy than magic. Alchemy is not really magic.. it looks like magic to some degree to some people but it isn't.. Alchemy is usually an equivalent exchange type of thing. its more of a science ... but I could go for either one really. If it is alchemy perhaps were going to hit somewhat of a steam punk feel more or less? I cant wait to see where they go with it.. I just hope it doesn't cause more problems than the game already has..

At first I have to admit I was kind of bummed with the rumors, I really, really want weather back in the game... but the more I read and more screens I see I'm getting super excited! I doubt this is something I'll use for every family all the time, but it'll most certainly keep me entertained for quite a while and add some new quirks. I'm super excited to be able to make supernatural sims from the get go in CAS without having to work to get them turn into one!

I am interested in knowing however what is going to be so different about the new and "more intruguing" vampires. The vampires already have different abilities...

One thing I'm a little sad about though is no aliens. I want aliens back! I know we can make funky colored sims in CAS... but I miss my poor simmies stargazing getting abducted and my boys coming back preggo with alien children :/

I am curious about the sharing of elixirs, Like with simport, EA is really pushing sharing items. It will be interesting to see how that works. The only thing I will want to make sure of is that MC can turn off the paranormal beings. I will want them in some hoods but not in all of my worlds. :)

I read that EA is putting in options where you can control how many of each type of beings and celebs are allowed in your towns.

I like it and will get it. It will be the first item I will buy since pets. My question is how will this new expansion pack affect TSR downloads?
Will it be like pets where we needed to redo everything? Do not worry about weather, survey says it will be released sometime in 2013. There will be rain and snow.
Our cherokee ancestors believed in faeries and forest spirits and some of us still do. This EP will be fun.

That is wonderful as I was concerned about that as I do not want them in all of my worlds. I was thinking I would have to control them in Master Controller. It is great if EA is giving us some setting in the game to control this.

So I am watching the live chat video and I noticed at 20:49, when they are in the game, they go to scroll over and do another interaction, and they scrolled over the want bar and it says "Buy a rocking chair" the sim had a want to buy a rocking chair.. Does this mean we are getting rocking chairs in this EP and we can possibly rock babies to sleep? Or do we have rocking chairs now that I just don't know about? lol. I don't care for anything else about the EP but a rocking chair and it got me excited, how sad is that?

Upon further investigation, it seems that on the fact sheet it states that there are indeed, FUNCTIONING rocking chairs, which I've also read you will be able to use to rock babies to sleep and read to them (toddler/baby both)
