Alrighty. After spending a month fighting with the Workshop and reading and rereading tutorials, I figured it'd be time for me to ask here. I export the mesh, import to Blender, make my own mesh, import it back to Workshop via Milkshape and it shows up ok. Of course it has the old mesh's multiplier, so I go to make my own. I sometimes bake it in Blender, sometimes use the UV Mapper and draw it by hand. No matter which method I use, the result after importing the multiplier is always this:

In this example, the multiplier used was baked in Blender. As you can see, it somehow "tiles" instead of "wrapping" around the object like it should. I've been following Cyclonesue's texture creation tutorial as well as riccinumbers' beginners' guide to meshing, but this is the result. Always. Help me out here, please. :D

Hi.. stupid question maybe but are you UV mapping .. then saving the mapped .obj and importing that into Milkshape.. then baking the mapped .obj in blender ... also making a new specular, mask and overlay

I'm not sure if I understood, but... Normally I make the mesh, then unwrap on Blender, import the UV layout + make the multiplier by hand OR bake using Blender. After that, I import the .obj or .3ds (I sometimes use .obj, sometimes .3ds, it doesn't make a difference) into Milkshape, and from there I import it to the Workshop, and import the multiplier, too. Then I make the specular, the mask and the overlay.

i think you are losing the uvcoordinates some how?
Did you ever checked your exported meshes back in Blender again?

Also check the uvscales(meshtab), they might be diffrent on books.
Ever visited my site?

I agree with Bloomblurr cause it really looks like the object is not mapped , or has the wrong map.. check your saved mapped .obj in something like UV mapper which is a free program
