Recently my game is starting to crach and I am pretty shure that it is because of some CC I downloaded.

But where I am starting my search, do I search for things I installed last, or things I used last in the game?

When does the game crash because of bad CC, is when I install it, or won't the game crash before I try to use the CC?

When this happens to me, I go into the launcher and remove anything that I have downloaded in the past 24 hours. If that doesn't fix it, I keep removing things recently downloaded until the problem is fixed. Sometimes the game will let you run it with bad CC, but then crash later, even when you're not using the content. It's a very buggy game and some of the CC can be a problem, too.

I sorry for my late reply, but I could not log in after the new update.

jicour: To remove everything I installed within the last 24 hours seems a little drastic, I have a lot of CC and I am not importing via Sims 3' import screen

Member: I have allready tried Dashboard, and I have removed all conflicts and corrupted files.

But does anyone know when the game will crash, is it upon installation or is it when I try to use the item in the game?

By the way, my game is working, luckily enough I use CC Magic, so I am doing a "try and error" test at the moment, so I only load a few new set's when I start the game, and if this works, I add a few more sets :)

I have found that usually with sims3packs that don't match my EPs, the game crashes when I click on them in buy mode. But if I remember correctly, when I had a corrupt package file, the game crashed at the start.
I am pretty sure that TSR check all their CC before it is put up on the site, so although some CC may make my game crash because I don't have the correct EPs, it is not actually 'bad' CC. But as far as other sites are concerned, I wouldn't know. I usually only download from TSR, MTS, and nraas industries, and the CC from them is pretty ok.

It predicts if it is sims3pack or packages that go into your mod folder. Packages can be fairly quickly, especially if they are a core mod, they will crash you while loading the game. Other stuff can crash you when you click on them or show up strangely in your game.I finding sims3pack are not so straight foreward. A couple of days ago I decided to remove sims3pack content that behaved just fine in my game and I had in for months but crashed my launcher after I removed them. I had to delete all my cc installed from my launcher to get my game working again and I now have to reinstall all my sims3packs. The only thing I can suggest is to install a few things at a time test them out in the game and even delete and reinstall them, if you really want to be sure.

Is your issue not yet solved? have you tried looking at your DCcache in your documents? if there is a "missingdeps.idx" delete it. Use some of twallan's mod, like master controller, error trap, overwatch, and debugenabler. Use master controller to rest everything i your town to fix any possible errors. Error trap to avoid further problems in the future. overwatch and debugenabler, helps to keep your sanity when playing. (it helps me. xD) They would come in handy.
