I would like to remodel the base camps. (The "kitchens" are horrible!) I was able to change the beds & bathrooms in France and China, but game is asking for a "cheat" to change the stoves and for making structural changes. What cheat will I need for this?

That'd be "enablelotlocking true."

Was that cheat supposed to unlock the ovens in "Buy Mode"? If so, no luck. Fortunately my Sims had two ovens in their family inventory, I was able to place one in the Shang Simla Base Camp.

No, it doesn't enable ovens--that's its own, special issue. It just makes base camps further editable.

I've just started playing my game after a two year vacation from it and I would like to rebuild in some of the base camps as well. I'm wondering if "buydebug" is what would help to get access to stoves. I haven't tried to build yet, but it's good to know to put a few stoves in the fam's inventory just in case. I also find that going through the tombs more than once becomes tedious and would like the locales to offer more things for them to do. I would like, but don't know if I can - to put some LN objects in like the video games and the juice bars. Can I be able to do that? I miss the fun vacations of Sims1 & 2.

Welcome Back Henwen! Place all the stuff you need in your family inventory before you go to the locations. Buydebug dosn't include the normal buyable objects, it's mostly for "World" Items.

P.S. Do you know how to get into buy/build mode while in the Base Camps? You'll need the Testingcheatsenabled true cheat then ctrl + click (or is it shift + click?) you'll get a menu for buy or build mode.

I always play my game with that cheat on. LOL I did not know how to get into Build/Buy mode in the base camps. Thank you!
