I was always in the habit of clicking 'thank you' for everything I downloaded. If the Facebook 'like' thing is meant to be a substitute for that, I won't use it because I'm not willing to clutter up my Facebook with a gazillion Sims content items. Please give us back the 'thank you', because I do so much downloading there's no way I can comment to say thank you on everything I download.
Peace,
Holly

yes button "thank you" I miss, it was much better than "like" of facebook, impractical and less friendly. :(

I also miss the thank you button. It was faster than comments but still let the artist know we appreicated their work. I do not tie my FB account into anything I only have that to monitor my kids.

I just paid for two months and the first thing I noticed was the missing thank you button.

I find it interesting that so many people are missing the Thank You button. As an artist, I can say that I don't miss having it at all. The amount of thank-you's received in comparison to downloads and comments was absolutely miserable, and I didn't really even pay attention to it because of that. I remember several other artists saying similar things. It seems the few people who did use it used it all of the time, but most downloaders didn't use it all.

Well, it's like filling up your gas tank and then guessing the amount of mileage you're going to get right then. How do you know to thank when you haven't used the download yet? And who bothers to hunt down the exact page to do so when it is a good download; it seems the best you could hope for is if someone who downloads regularly would remember and thank you on another download page, recognizing you from the earlier interaction. Download count would seem to be the way to go, with a 'thumbs-down' button removing one of the download totals, like a vote system, only able to push once if a user had downloaded before.

I too would "LOVE" to have the "THANK YOU" button back... I have never thought that the Artists were thanked enough by us, the members, for thier time, talent, & creations... :( The Thank You button was the only way to say Thank You as you were spending time downloading...

I did today write... "Thank You for sharing! ~*Cammiio2*~ then copy and pasted it in the comments space, but I felt like that was so impersonal I stopped after a couple of pages in my download history!!! I really would like to see the Thank YOU button back... The only other thing I can do to Thank the Artists for thier work is to write it in thier guest book EVERY time I download a creation... That is time consuming and not really an option for myself or most people... :(

I think that the Artists need to know that we are grateful and appreciate thier time... At this time the only thing I can think of is bringing back the the "THANK YOU" button... I also agree with sim_man123 ... I did notice that MOST members DID NOT use the Thank You button... I, myself NEVER used it for the longest time, but when I figured out what it meant to the Artist, I used it every time I downloaded a creation... ...

 I APPRECIATE ALL THE TIME, ENERGY, CREATIVENESS, LOVE & ATTENTION THAT EACH CREATOR/ARTIST HAS PUT INTO WHAT THEY MAKE FOR US... "THANK YOU" FOR EVERY THING!!!

 Much Love & Happiness to All... Cammiio2

WHAT EVER IT MAY THROW IN MY DIRECTION I AM CONFIDENT I WILL NOT STUMBLE, NOR SHALL I FALL. I WILL, HOWEVER, CONQUER ANY OBSTICLE THROWN UPON MY PATH DURING THIS JOURNEY CALLED, 'LIFE!'.

I'm one who made a habit of clicking the 'thank you' after every download link I clicked. If I liked something well enough to download it, then I liked it well enough to take a second to say thank you to the artist for their time. I guess my main point was that cluttering up my 'likes' in Facebook is not a suitable substitute for someone like me who is a conscientious and consistent thanker. I'm *not* one who is going to clutter up my Facebook with every tiny thing I do...
Peace,
Holly

I always used the Thanks button, I rarely left a comment unless it was something exceptional or for an artist like Hats I comment on everything she does, (we had a long standing running joke thing going on the comments). Not having the thanks button now is a pain in the neck because I don't have the time to leave a comment on everything I download as that requires me having to load up the page as there's no way to do it from the quick download and I have no intention of doing anything on my Facebook related to TSR or Simming in general.

Thanks everyone for their input!

Holly
