I have been having trouble downloading from the site. Some days it works and other days it does not work. When I download an item, it freezers in the launcher and then I have to log out and restart my computer to clear the launcher. I don't know whether this is a problem with my computer, a problem with my browser (Internet Explorer or Google Chrome), or something else. It started happening when you redesigned your site and went to the Cloud. Also, some days I cannot download the freebie from the subscriber portion of the site. :(

I am asking a second time about the problem I am having downloading. The download freezes halfway through the process and I have to shut everything down manually to clear my computer. For some reason the download does download even though it freezes but I have to install it manually. This means that I can only download one item at a time. Then I have to log out and shut down my computer. I am using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9. I did not have this trouble until the move to the cloud. The only other site I download from is The Sims Exchange and I have no trouble there. An explanation please.

Try Firefox I haven't had any major problems for a week now. Through I still had to double click on the occasional download to get it to work. I also thought that bug in the today section was solved. Personally I'm tired of posting the same problems all the time. Also I wonder if your problem hasn't to do with the launcher. Your issues sound a bit extreme to be just a downloading problem.

I tried downloading today and it worked fine. I was able to download about eight items and the launcher did not freeze but it was very slow.

I have found that the launcher uses a lot of ram to get going. On my computer it has actually hit 100%, so I'm careful what I'm running when getting it started. I also have issues with installing and uninstalling it sometimes get stuck while doing these actions. I think it has to do with the power of your computer and the size of your installations. I find it best to do large sized sims3packs installations seperate because these takes the longer and more likely to get stuck. I also wonder if the more you install into the launcher the less stable it gets. Also with me the longer the launcher is messed with, the more likely something is going to go wrong.

Hello! Each time I download something it goes through but I get thrown out of the site each time. It started when the site changed. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your info. I have done a bit investigating on my computer and it showed that my Anti-virus program, Kaspersky is part of the problem. It requires 4 G's of ram to operate. My computer has 8 G's which I thought was plenty. However, everything worked fine on the old TSR site. It is just since moving to the cloud that I have encountered this problem so something there must also be a factor in the problem. As far as the launcher goes, I keep getting a message that the launcher cannot connect to EA's Origin. In spite of that, the Launcher still downloads. I have put a question about that on The Sims 3 Forum but for some reason it was not answered and apparently it has been removed.

Today again I could only download one object. I do not download a lot of items so I don't think that is a problem. I will have to keep trying.

Sorry, I must make a correction to my previous post. I have put a question about the Launcher on EA's Sims 3 Forum and not The Sims 3 Forum here at TSR. I thought it important to make that correction.

I think you should send a direct message to the TSR support staff. They did come back to me when I had problems with the forums. Here is the direct address:
http://www.thesimsre...ction/Downloads
Tell them the problem you have been having since the move to the cloud and mention the EA Origin problem as well. Be as detailed as possible so they can hopefully answer you without a whole lot of back and forth.

I don't have any experience with EA Origin or sims 3 forum site. But can't you look in your profile at your posts? They might have just moved the post. Sometimes these things can suddenly corrupt themselves can you uninstall EA Origin without to much hassle to your downloads or game?

I googled and found this forum, they are talking about virus software blocking access and other possilbe soloutions.
http://forum.ea.com/...st/3576978.page

if you don't have any help with above google the exact error message you recieve, that has never failed me. Sorry I can't help any further than this.

You are right, Chedderprime. I did find my post concerning Origin on the EA site. They had moved it and placed it with 100's of other posts concerning the same problem. They just brought out a new patch for Origin. I download it but it did not fix the problem. As for my antivirus program, I am thinking of switching to something else although Kaspersky is one of the best but it takes so much memory. Thanks for your suggestions.
