Hi again, this is the first time that I've ever done this, but I took shots of my sim teen just aging up to a YA. When I froze the camera, I about split my sides laughing, LOL. The last one is the mom and her reaction, lol. The second pic is supposed to be the first one when the camera zooms in to the sim.

Ageing is the most annoying thing in sims. Cuz EA have a bad style of dressing up. I mean you can style have a teen that looks just *_* and after it appers as an ugly chikan.

btw clean your house, there's spaghetti on the table :D

I agree. I get really annoyed that everyone else in the house stops what they are doing and loses all the actions in their queue - I wish there was some way to avoid the birthday thing completely, and just have them age up silently and quickly.

Yeah, the only action that doesn't stop is watching tv or looking thru the telescope. Btw NK6164, the spghetti you see on the "table" is what the other sim was cooking when the boy decided to grow up. Of course, she had to stop what she was doing and get a shocked look on her face and gawk at him, LOL. I agree that the aging can be annoying and I don't like how the whole house tilts to an angle and zooms in, but I just thought that the facial expressions were comical.

Since I'm usually hovering over everyone anywhere and watching them like hawks, I usually pause the game and cancel out all birthday-related actions and send people back to bed or wherever. It's kind of like pregnancy freak-out--if mom isn't going to the hospital, keeping her isolated from the family will make them magically forget she's around! :D

I usually do too Spladoum, but this time it took me by surprise. This is why I was able to get the shots of him on his birthday. I normally don't see them, lol. I had gotten the notice of his birthday and evidently once the notice is issued, it is set in stone. I tried making the teen years longer, but he had his birthday anyway.

I usually let the birthday just progress as it was planned. I don't really mind if the sims stop to celebrate and I have noticed that many times only one or two of them show up.

I think the real issues concerning birthdays, is when the sims don't stop celebrating the birthday especially at a party then you have to hop around town to cancel that action. The second problem is when the sims age automatically without cake and skip different ages groups. It seems to be an epidemic in my neighbourhood. I don't think any toddler has automatically turned into a child just skipping to teenager.

It sounds like you either have a buggy neighborhood or maybe a mod that is interfering w/your aging process Chedderprime. Have you tried taking out all of your mods and then aging a sim?

I've had this problem since the beginning. I thought an old patch solved this. This is the first time I am playing in a neighbourhood and running story progression and playing one house letting everyone doing their own thing. Before I jumped around aging everyone myself especially those that I knew tended to do this. But those that I missed aged all right. If it is a mod would it be a core mod? I wouldn't want to remove NRAAS master control mod because that is keeping the memory system off and error 12 at bay. I have also noticed that no one is actually having children, no one is getting married and in the main type of relationship seems to be same gender. The last two don't worry me but not having children do. I seem to be playing some sort of apocalyptic neighbourhood. Is this supposed to happen with story progression?

Not at all! Most all of T's mods are not core mods. His Error Trap is a core mod and maybe you want to d/l that to see if it corrects any errors. Overwatch is also good, though not a core mod. Have you tried a different hood to see if the problem persists there? Also, w/MC you can force sims to be married and have children.
