I have questions but since they do not seem to be bugs I listed it as Feedback.
#1. Where did my thousands of The Sims Resource points go that I have earned since 2009 that I could buy things for my website, free download days, added features? I earned nearly 18,000 pts and I really was looking forward to spending them.
#2. Where is all the information and instructions on setting up my webpage, added features I could buy, and general details about banner sizes and etc. I like the new look somewhat but I feel like the site was more emmersive before, seems very bland and "too" on trend.
#3 The ads don't seem to blend in well on the downloads pages. In an effort for clean design it just looks
uninteresting. My apologies.

Questions 1 and 2 both cover the Kudos points and that has a very simple answer... The Kudos system has been removed. It is being replaced by a different reward system. Since TSR has moved away from the "mini-sites" of version 7 and is now using a "profile page" for version 8, many of the customization features are now obsolete. With this new site version, everyone now has the opportunity to add their own banner to their profile page. Banner sizes remain the same though -- 940 x 150.

Well you don't need them really ... all of the perks you would have bought with them, such as a banner for your page, are now standard for everyone 
The only thing left to spend them on is Free Days. If you wish to spend your Kudos on a Free Day, you can still do so by visiting the old version of the site - http://oldsite.thesimsresource.com/ (although this is going to be removed soon so there's not much time left!)

We intend to add more customization to the minisites eventually, but it hasn't been our highest priority right now.

I'm looking forward to the new rewards system. I really loved Kudos, since I can't afford a subscription it was the only way to ever be able go on my semi-annual downloading spree. Plus it was of a bit of motivation for submitting. I'll never be a FA or SA, I don't upload enough to qualify. So Kudos was a nice little bonus to look forward to. Any idea when the new system will be out? Well, when ever it'll be nice. I do love getting the "Ohhhs and Ahhhs" from downloaders over my stuff. LOL!
