My sim fished up a guitar and a box while lake fishing. I just wondered how it happened because I've never seen any "object" spawners. Would this happen in custom worlds? Has this happened to anyone else? I thought it was interesting.

I don't remember it happening to me in custom worlds, but in EA ones my sims have fished up a guitar, lots of bottles of bubble bath, lots of plastic ducks. I will have to get my sims fishing more in custom worlds and see if they get anything other than fish.

I've gotten cake, seeds, and stereos while fishing.

I play a lot of custom worlds and would love this to happen in them. I don't know if this would just happen because it being from EA or if this is done through spawners of some kind. Anyone played custom worlds and found goodies in the lake? I'll have to do what Sheridan mentioned and fish more in custom worlds.

I have never played a custom world but I am interested in playing one now to see if I can find something other than fish. :)

One does seem to catch a lot of junk when fishing. I suspect the sims rivers and oceans are very polluted and wouldn't advise letting yours sims eat anything they catch.

That must be why they use the fish as fertiliser instead.

I've been having an interest in custom worlds as well, but don't know if they will glitch up my game. Are there some that are better than others? Which ones have you enjoyed? :)

I haven't played any custom worlds yet but there is a great one coming out soon and it's a collaborative effort between creators here at TSR. Take a look at this link! Fratres

Looks lovely and unusual, but I'm hesitant of the extra custom content, I really don't want more. I'm picky about what goes in my game including houses doused in CC - I won't download them. Looks really pretty though.

some of the towns from mysimrealty are good - I particularly like Anju Falls and Winchester Farming Community. These ones don't seem to have glitched my game. I always play in custom hoods because the EA ones are too big to play smoothly on my laptop.

I do worlds in CAW and have never noticed any fishing spawners for items other than the fish. My guess is, and this is totally a guess, is that EA coded in a random chance to get something other than fish using the spawners we/they used for the worlds.

O0o Thanks for that site! They do look good!
Now my other question. I do not have all of the EP's and Stuff Packs and don't want them all, so when it calls for requirements that you don't have - can you still download it or must you stick to the requirements you only have?

sheridanhoughton! I think I will download that Brooklyn Heights as I am not happy at all with Bridgeport and it's gloom and teeny weeny suburbia. Thank you!

You don't need all the EPs. I don't have late night, pets or showtime. If they have any of those lots in the world, I either just ignore them or delete them.

I've been playing a beautiful little world that runs perfectly with no problems, "Belle View". I love it. I got it from the Sims 3 Forum here http://forum.thesims...ist/461292.page if the link doesn't work google it. However, my most favorite world is "Anju Falls". It wasn't made for pets but I've just loaded it up with all the pet spawners and put in the Equ. Center and it works perfectly. A long time ago I played a small world, "Mercury Island" and fell in love with it, but it's not big enough for the pets expansion.

I tend to agree with daisylee on her theory of the fishing junk.... it makes sense.
