HI.
I've been having trouble loading my game.
Every time I load the launcher I get a patch message that says "New Store Content Patch Available. There is a new patch for your Sims 3 Store Content. Would you like to download the latest patch?"
It then has boxes to check Yes NO or Later. I can't click on any of them. So I can't get past it to load my game. I tried loading it from the .exe file but that doesn't work either. All I get is a black screen. I tried running it without my Mods. But that didn't help. I can't run it without my Sims 3 packs because I can't get to the launcher to uninstall them.
I also updated the Origin launcher but that didn't help.
Any Ideas?

did you check to see if you had any corrupted custom content sometime custom content thats corrupted or outdated can cause the game to crash i would advise you check with the dashboard from mod the sims to see if your custom content is ok or corrupted

before I install any patch, I remove the electronic arts folder from my documents folder, and then start the sims, and the installation of the new patch. that way I check that everything runs ok in a vanilla game before putting back my electronic arts folder. I know this is just a store patch, and not a game patch, but I follow that anyway.

so I would suggest babu357 give that a try and see if it works.

Well I actually took out the CC from my Mods folder and it still wont' work right. But I doubled checked in the dashboard just to make sure and nothing was corrupted.
I can't say the same for my Sims 3 packs because I don't know of any way to check them except to uninstall and I can't do that without the launcher. Is there any other way or program I can use to check my Sims 3 packs?
I don't really think it's them because I don't' think I have put any new 3 packs in lately. So it would have to be some old CC gone wrong soemhow....maybe with the changing of the patches?
Anyway, like I said I don't know of anyway of checking them right now. Is there a way to uninstall without using the launcher. I mean can I go into my Sims 3 folders and delete something to get rid of my CC in 3packs?

Thanks for the idea, too bad I didn't get back here sooner. I wound up replacing my EA folder and with my backup copy of my EA folder from May . I lost some of my game play but luckily I hadn't played that much since my last backup. It got things working again, I suppose it was CC related so now i have to check any Sim packs that new since the backup EA folder and see where the problem lies.

If you don't need to use the launcher you can just open the game without it. go to:
my comptuer, c drive, program files, electronic arts, the sims 3, game, bin, and click on the one that says TS3.exe , the game will auto open without the launcher's help.

The only time I had this it was because Origin was out of date. I'd try uninstalling that, rebooting your PC and then reinstall Origin and try again with the game launcher only run it as Administrator from inside the folder in the Program Files section of your PC to make sure it will load properly.
