So heres whats going on, I am making small objects to learn how to make my way to bigger things but when I import a mesh into TSRW it seems to be huge, in 3DSMax (what I use) its way smaller, I've tried changing the size of it, exporting it and importing it to the workshop but its still huge. Also, when I put things in on some quality settings it imports sideways, like the front of the mesh ends up pointed straight down and through the green floor, as before I've tried changing the angles in 3DSMax but it still ends up the same and I'm not sure what to do.

Do you mean huge as in very large dimensions? I use Max also, and the default Max scene, the scale is incredibly large for Sims models, I set mine up to show units with up to 5 decimal places and resized the grid down to create a better Sim-friendly working environment. The XYZ rotation is also 'wrong' - I export all my mesh bits as a .3ds, then import that into milkshape, select everything, rotate it by 270 degrees around the X axis only. Then I export it as an .obj and UV map it (Max's UV mapper does not play nice with Sims meshes and tends to put ugly dark creases or noticable lines in them even if everything is properly in range - although I think that's actually Milkshape's fault).

Not sure what you mean by "when I put things in on some quality settings" though...?
