So basically, discovered TSR went a bit wild..... with the downloading and my game was suddenly more laggy than usual. So I put everything to its lowest setting as in the graphics and Quit Sims and Restarted my whole system. When it started back up I ran sims and just as it finished loading my chosen family the screen went blue then black and I got a message saying "Exception raised: Unhandled page fault on write acess to 0x00000000 at address 0x707e2e63. Do you wish to debug?"
I clicked Yes. Then i started sims again and it went to the same point. it crashed again so the next time i clicked no and it still crashed. I'm lost as of what to do.

I have the basegame only. I run it on an 11" macbook air. I have the digital version.

Pleaseeee help mee! Thanks in advance. :]

I would start by trying a vanilla game. The way to do that is to move the electronic arts folder from your documents folder and put it on the desktop. Then start up the game and run it for about 5 minutes to see how it goes. If it runs ok, then the problem must be in some of your CC.

Do you have any new mods or mods that maybe aren't consistent with your stage of patching?

It could possibly be from content that is supposed to be for an EP that you don't have. If it was me, I would leave the original electronic arts folder on the desktop, and gradually put the CC into the new downloads folder in your new electronic arts folder in the documents folder. And install the CC in stages. Maybe start with clothes, or hair. And then try running the game.

Just speaking to my husband, who is the mac expert in the house, and he says it could be related to your capacity. I run Sims 3 on macbook pro with a solid state drive with 8 gigs of ram. I have the base game and 3 EPs. And even then, I can only play small towns and small lots successfully. The air has a much slower processor, less powerful graphics, and I think only 4 gigs ram. He said to make sure that your hard drive isn't full - you should try and keep 10% free space. So maybe the problem is that your air can only cope with a smaller amount of CC.

I have the same problem and I'm running the game on Windows. Would this fix also apply to Windows system?

QueenM58, as this thread is for a Mac issue, could you please create your own thread for the issue you are having? When you do that, we need you to tell us what patching level your game is at, and if you could a DxDiag of your system specs as well. Instructions for the DxDiag and the information we need to see from it can be found here.
