Today there was something I have never encountered before. I went to download one of the free daily subscriber downloads and a message popped up saying my download would start in fourteen minutes. Is this something new to encourage people to become subscribers and will it be applied to the regular free downloads sooner or later?

Mine was 14 minutes and I didn't bother waiting. I won't be downloading anything from there again.

Waiting for the download to start automatically is 15 seconds. And this won't be applied to regular free downloads.

It's 15 seconds and that's hardcoded into the site, so 14 minutes is a misunderstanding on your end. This is only for the today only free downloads.

There was no misunderstanding on my end. If it had been 15 seconds, I would have waited - that is not a lot of time.

Then you have javascript blocked or something else, the code is written by us and there is simply no way it would have been 14 minutes. It's a very simple javascript with no margin for errors.

I checked javascript on my computer and it was updated March 17, 2012. I had no difficulties until what happened a few days ago. How do you know if it is working? I am not a computer pro and don't knowingly mess with my computers setting nor would I know how to fix it. The times I encounter these troubles is whenever a website makes a major change.
