I've just upgraded from sims 2 to sims 3 and I'm finding it a lot harder and definitely prefer sims 2.

I'm trying to add some downloads and i'm still not sure where to put .package files (hair, eyebrows etc) and .sims3 files (worlds). Thank you :)

FYI. I've put all of my downloads in the default folder 'saves' (my documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 3 > Saves).

Sorry if this has been asked before.

The Saves folder is not for custom content. That is where the information for the families you are playing will be stored when you save it in the game.

To install custom content that is in Sims3pack format, see this article that is linked to on all of our Sims3 downloads.

To install package file content, see this article.
