Clock too fast!

I know that the clock is 1 second = 1minute in Sims 1 but that is way too fast for me. It hardly gives me time to do anything but sleep, eat, work and barely time to go to bathroom. Is there a way to slow down the game clock or maybe make it run in "real time"? I have Sims 1 with no expansion packages.

I am sorry but there is no way to slow down the time. As you play more, you learn to adjust to that timing and figure out how to meet your Sims needs.

Pressing the P key will pause the game. So, while you can't slow down game time, you can stop it while you decide what to do - or try to find whatever it is you want to click on.
