I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed, uninstalled, and so forth TSR Workshop many times but it still doesn't work. It shows me a message saying it could not locate the game folder and asks if I would like to look for it manually. I have read the topic about this saying to just click on where I installed it, and tried that. I still received the same problem.

I would really like to be able to create CC, but if TSR doesn't work then I really can't. If anyone can help me with this I'd be very happy. Thank you.

P.S. I can supply pictures for what I mean if necessary, just ask.

What is the path of where you are directing Workshop? The Sims 3 has a folder in both Documents as well as Program Files, many people direct it to the Documents folder (which is wrong) rather than the Program Files folder where the actual game info is stored. :)

Where can you find the program files in the options they give you? I'm having the same problem.

To Amenti Sims and luckee_6669...Do you have the DVD version of the game or did you purchase a direct download? TSR Workshop looks for the core game files in the default path of the DVD version of the game -- C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. If you have the direct download version, that is a different installation path. For example, those who are Origin users their path to the core Sims3 files would be C:\Program Files x86\Origin Games\thesims3.

I have the game, but had to do a direct download because of my computer. I cannot find program files anywhere in the list that it gives me to choose from.

This list? The dialog that asks for the game installation folder will let you browse anywhere on your system, it's not really a "list". As Frisbud said earlier, for Origin you will need to point that folder to C:\Program Files x86\Origin Games\The Sims 3.

I already have origins on my computer. But 'the list' that it gives me to look through and go through files, it doesn't even have origin as an option.

When the Browse Folder dialog (The List) pops up, click on "Local Disk". It will expand. Then click on "Program Files x86" (or just "Program Files" if you do not see one with x86 behind it). Then scroll down and click on "Origin Games". Then click on "The Sims 3" and then click the OK button. That should be the correct path for Workshop.
