This is kind of complicated and I have two questions about this.

The story: I have a family with three children. I had the oldest go to boarding school because the house and the children's bedrooms were small and I needed the space - wasn't sure if I would leave her there full term. I decided to get her home after a short stay and move the family to a larger house. I got her home for the move because I wasn't sure how the game would go if I left her there. When she came back, I think she was glitchy. Have lots of error codes in that household now.
Recently what I did was put each one in CAS and packaged them in Export, downloaded them into CAS as cc so I could make them a family again, and start over from there. The kids were still children. Now the first day I played them, all was perfect, no error codes. The second day I needed to age the oldest as it was time. After I put her in CAS to pretty her up (she's gorgeous) and got her back into the house I had the error codes again.

Question 1: Does her file always stay corrupt? My first thought was to use the cc child (of her) in CAS and make her into teen in CAS and recreate the family as I did before. Would her file as teen or even adult be a new file and fresh or still possibly be corrupt?

Question 2: I have the family folder in SAVES. If I can find the one that was before she went to boarding school and is no longer in the library. how do I get it back into the game library which I had deleted? I'm thinking of playing the family from that point too and see what happens.

Twallan's error trap would help to prevent such things to happen, you could try using Master controller to reset everything, and/or overwatch.

I do have the Master Controller but never reset everything. Also have the Error trap, but it does absolutely nothing for my game code problems. I cannot use the Master Controller as we just had a new patch. I will wait until MC has been updated and try a reset. Thanks.

And another thing, try saving in rotation with 5 save file (or use saver) ... so you can go back to the time before the incident happen. make sure you doesn't exclude the active household when you reset everything. and you can also try just reseting just your active household.

although we have just had a new patch, the MC version that I downloaded on Tuesday is working just fine. the patch must not have affected it.

Are you talking about the 134.27? I did take that out of my folder and put it on desktop. I will put it back in because I noticed that it is not available on the NRASS site now.

What is 5 save file & (or use saver)? Is this a master controller download? Oh and in case you're wondering, I do "Save As" and change the file names and that used to work with those pesky error codes, but no longer does. :(

Thank you both for your enormous help. I will put the MC back in and try it!

Saver is another mod from twallan, it would prompt you to save every 30 mins and with 4 different file name (However I'm using a 5 rotation, by changing the setting)... using save as, is a good habit.

I am not sure of the version number, but it is dated the 11th July. I was playing for most of yesterday without any problems. I only use the base mod, not any of the add ons (at the moment). I don't know if that makes a difference.
I will go onto the nraas site later and check it out.

Okay thanks.
Still having problems and thinking of uninstalling it all for the fourth time leaving out a lot of cc and not installing WA at all except I like some of the objects.

Do you think I could just take out the WA world files from the game or would that really mess it up? I'm trying to keep down the tourists that are hanging around other worlds. Maybe there is just too much going on as I play. I don't even play that EP.

You could just remove all your CC's and your mods that are not updated, maybe they cause the trouble. When you are on your homeworld. the vacation worlds are all in pause mode. the game would just calculate the age etc when you decided to visit that specific world.
