I updated Sims 3 with the new patch, not CAW is incompatible, says to uninstall, the reinstall. Have to do this everytime there is a new patch, or new stuff pack, or EP, surely there must be a quicker way. Any one know?

If I am working on a world, I just don't update until I am finished with it and have my final file. Same with EPs and SPs. I won't take any chances because any new features could mess up the CAW I have installed now. CAW is very unstable and it does not take much to make it unplayable. Hope you did not lose anything? Always make backup files to your documents before you do anything with patches, EPs or SPs. Most likely, you will have to wait until they put up a new CAW before you can continue working on your world.

We always have to reinstall CAW when there is a new EP or patch. I patch my game and keep it up to date. I have installed each new CAW version as soon as released and have never lost a world in progress or had any problems. The new version of CAW has been released, and it works just fine with worlds started previously. Make backup copies to be safe, as stated, and go ahead and install the new version if you want to keep working in CAW.
EA does the updates to make it work with the latest EP/patch. Keep your game up to date and install new versions of CAW when released. And there is no need to play a nonupdated game during the months that it takes to work on a new world.

I've downloaded the latest Create a World a few minutes ago. Upon launching it, I keep getting a crash message saying memory is corrupt. I've all expansions/stuff packs minus the Diesel, Fast Lane, and Kate Perry Sweet Treats.

I am having the same issue... by the way you should know that this is NOT the official Sims 3 site, as I noticed you have just registered... this place is great for custom content for your game, not so great for help with in game bugs (not that the official site is either.)
