Hello,

I've tried to use the NVIDIA DDS plugin but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there a plugin for Ati Radeon Graphics card that anyone knows about?

If not how else can I do the specular on my items?

Use ATI's Compressonator, it a awsome tool imo

oh, forgot....
Those nvidia plugins have a ugly bug when trying to save as dxt1noalpha(atleast when using ps7)
it adds a messed up alpha channel.to the spec.

It might be easier to download dxtbmp and open your spec and save it as dxt1noalpha.
i always do that when having this issue

Hmm intresting, sorry to bump in this topic, what is the issue here with the .DDS plugins ?
I have ATI all over my PC, but i use NVIDIA DDS plugin without any issues.

What is or is not working about it for you ?

Just intrested to know, cause i thought i just work regardsless of what graphcard you have ... though ATI's Compressonator is a good replacement indeed Bloom.

For your bug, create a empty Alpha channel in PS, then save the files as .DDS DTX5 (interpolarated Alpha), this should retain your alpha channel for futher imports If i recall correctly the Specular map is the only one that needs saving with a black alpha channel and DTX5 is save format for that one.
