Hey,

How do I know what tile size to use for my objects?
I normally use 1024x1024 for the size of my photo for TSW will that work?

I have tried to submit but have been told my textures are wrong is it because of that?
I use 3ds max mapping for texturing so I doubt thats the problem!

If anyone can help me I'd be gratefull!!

BubbleGirlMaria. :)

1024x1024 uses a 4x4 tiling for the patterns but i doubt that is wat your looking for?

When you say "the size of my photo for TSW" - are you referring to the size of the Multiplier? If so, then yes, what BlooMbLURR said is correct. Patterns are made 256x256, so in order for that to fit in a 1024x1024 multiplier, it will need to be 4x4 tiling. If your multiplier is 512x512 then your tiling should be 2x2, etc. The tiling should be what you would have to multiply 256 by to get the dimensions of your multiplier. Anything less will cause the patterns to enlarge and get blurry, and anything higher will cause the patterns to squish and loose detail.

If instead, by "photo" you are referring to the picture of your item that you uploading, no, 1024x1024 will not work. 1024x768 is the largest size you can use.

Also, if you are being told that your textures are wrong - have you created a custom mask, multiplier, AND specular for your object?

Thank you for your replys!
I was usin 6x6 so that is where i made my mistake!

Yes I have had trouble with the spec because I had an ATI Radeon graphics card and not a NVIDIA so it's not compatible but have tried different ways of making the spec with png.

I use 3ds max for the multiplier and then blender for the shadows so I couldn't see why they said My texturing was wrong but if I was using 6x6 then it explains it?

Thank you again!
